I can’t be the only mother who’s tired of seeing the same old themes for kids’ rooms, especially when it comes to bedding. Not all boys want a sports-themed room, and not all girls want a ballerina-themed room. Licensed characters are even more limiting – they go in and out of style quicker than boy bands and that’s saying something. It’s no wonder I love the sheet sets from mom/graphic designer Jeanice Skvaril’s company, Boodalee. Colorful and imaginative, they’re simple enough for a toddler’s room, but modern and hip enough to last through those tween years or even beyond, particularly with the trees collection. The bright circus print (shown here) is a great match for both boys and girls. And thanks to the unique printing process on 250-thread count 100% cotton, they really are colorfast. Phew.
Personally, I like the city print well enough that I might have to ask Boodalee if they’ve got any plans for king-size sheet sets in the making. Hey, why not? I’m still a kid at heart. –Julie [thanks, Amy!]
