I admit, when I hear "nursery rhyme art" my mind automatically goes to images far too cutesie for any kid over about 6 months. Like old whats-her-name with the codependent lamb.
So when clicked over to boy-tique Simply a Boy and caught the canvases from artist Paula Prass that take on the old Buckle My Shoe rhyme, I thought, aha. Very cool.
All five would look great in a set across one long wall, but any one on its own is pretty neat too and has more decorative longevity than your standard nursery art. Maybe because the only animal featured is that ol’ big fat hen. Far cry from a lamb, huh. –Liz
