Raise your hand if you owned a white pair of Keds in Junior High and drew all over them and then your mom yelled at you but you didn’t care because they were your Keds and you could do what you want with them, so there.

Seriously, I can’t be the only one.

Well now kids everywhere have an excellent reason to go all Jackson Pollack on their white shoes – only they’re not Keds, they’re Airwalks (cool!) and you get them at Payless. It’s called The Friendship Shoe and you not only can color on them, you’re actually encouraged to with the enclosed marker kit. What’s really amazing though is that 100% of the profits are going to The Fresh Air Fund which for decades has helped New York’s inner city kids log some summer vacation time in the country.

The shoe comes in women’s sizes too. So if you’ve got that fuzzy paint pen lying around…well, don’t use it. Give your shoes to your friend the MFA and let her have her way with them. –Liz

Congrats to Friendship shoe winner, Jennifer R!
