I literally ate my way through the International Fancy Food Show in New York a few weeks ago, and came home with a belly that could get me a seat on the subway, a couple of blisters, and piles of new products I was excited to share with Cool Mom Picks readers.

One of the standouts, ironically, was one that I almost passed up on sampling, so full was I at that point: The absolutely superb LaLoo’s Goat’s Milk Ice Cream.

If you’ve got someone in the family with lactose intolerance, this premium ice cream is just what you want to serve so you don’t feel like everyone else in the family is compromising. It’s lower fat than regular ice cream but holy cow (or goat) is it fantastic. Rich, creamy, indulgent. Did I mention lower fat?

Made in Sonoma, you definitely see the wine-country influence with flavors like Black Mission Fig, Chocolate Cabernet, and Strawberry Darling which is finished with a balsamic vinegar swirl. But hook up the kids with the more traditional flavors and they’ll be well taken care of.

There’s a store locator to help you find if LaLoo’s is sold near you. Pray that it is –Liz

Congratulations to Belinda S, winner of the LaLoo’s ice cream party!
