I see a whole lot of items presented as wearable art that, well, I would say wearable yes. Art, not so much. But in the case of Lark and Loon, the descriptor really fits. This two mom-run shop commissions original pieces from artists across the country and turns them into wonderfully soft, stretchy, very wearable clothing for kids 2-12.

By artists I mean real artists including CMP fave Alena Hennessy. Not people with fuzzy paint pens who draw happy faces. In fact the shop is so committed to art, they even give 5% of their profits to Americans for the Arts.

The boys tees are extra cute, and I love the dresses that they call drops. The cap-sleeved and long-sleeved style can take your daughter well into Fall over a pair of leggings, while the tanks are a stellar bathing suit cover up.

Plus, I don’t know why, but when you unwrap the clothing it smells absolutely divine. I’ve been typing this entire review with a pair of capris on my chest under my nose. For real. –Liz
