Apple and pear onesie from DunsI go a little nutty for Scandinavian design, so when I learned about the brand new online design store Vyssanlull which isn’t just Scandinavian but focuses on organic, eco-friendly, and ethically-made baby clothes, I knew clicking over could be very, very dangerous. And by dangerous, I mean where were you when my girls were babies!

I think the surprising, bold-patterned onesies and baby basics from Green Cotton, Duns, Sture & Lisa and Sygryn will be a nice change up from all the pastels that show up in every layette. Especially with such beefy cottons that are made to last through more than one kid. And for a little something special, check out the sweet pocket knit dress from Katvig in colors definitely not for shy babies.

While you’re there, grab a few pairs of Sweden’s Nowali Moccasins which I’m a huge fan of; this cozy sock-slipper hybrid has certainly been getting my own girls through this freezing winter quite nicely.

The clothes go up to a size 4 now, but owner/mom Johanna Lillpers assures me they’ll be  expanding by spring to cover our poor, naked, style-deprived 6 and 7 year-olds too. Thanks Swedes and Danes! We owe you one. –Liz
