Your peewee’s perfect playhouse

Pirate Playhouse by Imaginative Play ToysWhen I was a kid, a tent was a musty quilt over a card table, and it was heaven. Kids have it a little better today, and the magic of a secret fort lives on with the fantastic card table playhouses by Miss Pretty Pretty of Imaginative Play Toys.

Check out the pirate ship playhouse (hardy har yarr), the firehouse, fairy house, colorful cottages,  super hero hideout, princess playhouse, and more. She’s got all the childhood obsessions covered, and also handles custom orders in case your kid just can’t live without a purple Indian princess and pirate castle in the clouds. Plus most of the designs offer personalization and cute little moveable extras like felt mail for the mailbox, flowers, or a crown.

Cool Mom Picks Pick of the Year 2010In addition to being beautiful and super fun, these card table playhouses are mama-made from eco-friendly recycled felt and contain no small parts, so there’s no excuse for Emma to kick her little brother out of her CupCakery. Playhouses are made to fit specific table sizes, so be sure to measure your card table before placing your order. You can also buy a Super Sized playhouse, which includes instructions on how to construct the 4-foot-square tent of dreams. But then, aren’t they all? ~Delilah

I bought one of these for my 1 1/2 year old for Christmas and he loves it! Very nicely made and she will customize many elements for you. I love that I can fold it up and put it away when done.

We loved ours so much we bought two! Now there’s one at my daughter’s preschool and one at home. When she had surgery we had one designed the month before and it was even customized to include both her and her doctor! A big hit:
