Any ideas where I can find allergen-free Easter candy? Nearly everything I see is processed in a plant with peanuts so I’m looking for egg-free and peanut-free goodies. -Mary

As the mom of a daughter allergic to milk, I share your concern since so much of the stuff on store shelves isn’t safe for her either. So in the interest of helping all of us moms with kids allergic to milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, gluten, wheat, and whatever-else-there-is, here are some sites that have products just for us. -Christina

Nut-free Divvies Jelly Beans

Our go-to site for allergy-free Easter candy (and, really, every other candy) is Divvies, but, alas, their 4 oz chocolate bunnies are already sold out*! Still, they have jewel-colored Easter jelly beans, bright chewy Super Stars and their super-delicious BingGo! Chocolate Bars, none of which have, nuts, eggs or dairy, making them a great choice for many kids.
*update: Divvies is accepting phone orders for their chocolate bunnies for a limited time! Call 914-533-0333 to place your order.

Nut-free dairy-free chocolate bunnies

If you really must have a chocolate bunny in that basket, check out Premium Chocolatiers for dairy-nut-gluten-egg-free chocolates. I love the looks of their Bunny Lollipops (at top) and Easter Figurines which come in a little wrapped box. I haven’t tasted them yet, but they look like they’d do the trick this Easter.

Yummy Earth Lollipops

For organic lollipops, I love Yummy Earth’s lollipops which not only taste great, but are gluten-free, peanut-free and tree nut-free. Unfortunately, they are sold out of their super-chewy gummies, but those are a great treat too if you can find them in your local store where they’re also sold.

Natural Candy Store basket

For the biggest selection, you can’t beat the Natural Candy Store’s Easter selection. Their search features let you scan quickly for items that are vegan, gluten-free, organic or even made in the U.S. Their “Allergy Friendly” Easter basket makes it super easy to pick up a bunch of treats that are free of all the major allergens, and it comes already packaged in a wooden basket with recycled paper grass. The Easter Bunny will thank you.
