Saying you love me with flowers is great, but on Mother’s Day, please don’t get me a smiling kitten n’ rainbow mug full of carnations and daisies. I’d much rather have a bed of bamboo accented by one gorgeous orchid, or maybe some sparkling glass bowls full of peonies. Please.

The floral arrangements from Floral Art LA in the hip Abbot Kinney stretch of Venice really strike a chord with me, and that chord is Wow, I wish flowers never, ever died, because I want to look at this every day of my life. They offer classic and modern arrangements of tulips, orchids, peonies, hydrangeas, and ranunculus in boxes and vases so artful, there’s nary a smiley face mylar baloon among them.  Search the site by style, design, or even your mom’s favorite color and you’ll be wowed.

In addition to flowers, Floral Art LA has a spectacular collection of stunning home goods and some affordable, luxurious bath products. Those bubble baths from TokyoMilk are beyond gorgeous.

I’m not saying it’s cheap (it’s not), and sadly, they only deliver the flowers around the LA area. But if you’re there, these blooms say more than I love you. They say I love you, and I appreciate your remarkable taste, and are these not the most gorgeous flowers you’ve ever seen, and can I borrow some of that bubble bath? ~Delilah
