This onesie is a snap

Redsnapper Baby OnesieI cannot tell you how many times I’ve mis-snapped my kids’ onesies. Thousands of days of practice and I still do it wrong. Now really, in theory, it’s not that big of a deal to just fix it except that it drives me up a wall every time.

So I am completely sold on the ingenious idea that Redsnapper Baby has: Add a patented middle red snap so you hit your target every time. Super simple. Super smart.

But of course you’re not buying your baby’s clothes for the snaps alone, so good thing there are a few cute designs to choose from in the selection, like my fave, the red heart onesie which is printed on a nice soft cotton.

A sweet design for the kid and one less snap battle for a sleep-deprived mama. -Kristen

It seems like some of the best ideas are the simplest. I think the red snap is so clever!

Hmmm…I’ve seen this on the web a few places and everyone seems jazzed about it, so I’m happy that it’s ending frustration for many parents.

I have to say that for me, though, the onesies with 3 sets of snaps in the crotch never bug me one bit if they get messed up – as long as I’ve got 1 out of 3 snapped, even if they’re not lined up right, it works. And no one (including baby) seems to notice or care.

[Now, the outfits with 17 sets of snaps going all around the legs and up the stomach, etc., etc. That's a different story.]

The Star Trek onesie on your baby shower gift guide is “no longer available.”

Thanks Heather – sometimes that happens with small shops.

You can also find it here, however: http://www.thinkgeek.com/geek-kids/1-3-years/c754/

I agree – so simple and it does what it’s supposed to do. I don’t think it ever bothered my baby when I goofed the snaps, but for some reason it irritated me. Especially when I (bleary eyed) missed three times in a row :)
