The British lunch bag invasion

I can’t believe I’m already looking at back to school items for my kids, but that I am. So I checked in to see if last year’s CMP find, Dabbawalla Bags, was doing anything new for 2010. And that they are. Good stuff too!

I adore this Union Jack lunch bag made of a soft, sturdy neoprene that keeps those juice boxes cold or Thermoses of soup, warm. The design is a cool addition for kids that might be too old for the puppies and ladybugs. And the lightweight construction is great for younger kids.

It’s also nice to see some fun new backpack styles at the shop made of the same fabric, including the cool vintage flyer design or the punchy strawberry.

But me? I’m going to nudge my kids gently towards that awesome Union Jack. And maybe some Clash mixed in with the Justin Roberts on the weekend playlist. Oi!

I love this lunch bag–if only I had a reason to carry it or my daughter would be more accepting of things that weren’t pink.
