kids book endsBookends for a kid’s room are one of those challenging decor finds, or at least for me. A lot of bookends that I see and like are either too expensive (like, $100 a bookend), or they don’t actually hold up your books. In which case uh, what’s the point again?

Leave it to CMP fave Kerri Lee to reinvent the bookend with a bookend shelf.
The little painted wood shelf actually has bookends that slide along
the shelf, so they can’t tip over when your tall Richard Scary word book
is placed alongside your Boynton board books. The design is cute too,
though not too cute – Kerri’s trademark Tree is on one side, with a
bird, owl, or elephant on the other, all with little wool felt accents.

Nice touch: The edges are trimmed with pages from rescued vintage
children’s books. It’s all so tactile and inviting, I’d hope it makes
books look appealing to your kids as toys. –Liz
