Kenmore Baking for the TroopsJust around this time last year, my husband was returning home from his deployment in Afghanistan and he mentioned how he and his fellow troops really did appreciate the goodies and treats folks sent their way.

With that in mind, I couldn’t help but pass along this great initiative from Kenmore (yes, that Kenmore) who’s thanking our troops through cookies–hopefully with your help too.

Through their Baking for the Troops program, Kenmore is hoping to donate 250,000 cookies to troops who won’t be able to spend the holidays with their family. And if they can reach their goal, they’ll be donating $50,000 to Heroes at Home, a fantastic charity that assists military families facing hardships.

But don’t worry, you don’t actually have to bake any cookies. In fact, you barely have to lift a finger.

In less time than it would take to actually eat a cookie, just pop over to the Kenmore Facebook page, pledge to send a dozen cookies with a quick click, and choose a little message to send to our troops. Kenmore takes care of the actual cookie part for you, which, based on my baking, is probably a really good thing.  -Kristen
