Without fail, March 17th arrives and I start digging through my kids’ dressers in the search for something, anything, green. I usually end up with one child wearing last year’s soccer tee and one poor soul in a shirt that requires me telling them, If you squint, you can see the green.

This year, I tracked down a few green options–something stylishly perfect that they can wear all season and not just one fleeting day. –Christina

Axel and Hudson’s golf-themed boyswear was just featured on Cool Mom Picks, and this Green Racer Stripe Shirt (at top) is another good reason we love their clothes. I’m digging this basic v-neck tee with a twist, including a spiffy little collar and retro-cool racer stripe down the side. If anyone asks what the “4” means? Four-leaf clover of course!

I love this Pink Chicken dress for those wee girls who want to look pretty in green for preschool. With its delicate embroidery and wear-it-more-than-once price, this would also look lovely at a spring wedding, dinner out with the grandparents, or over jeans for Sundays in the park.

Saucony’s retro-cool Jazz sneakers for babies look much more comfy than leprechaun shoes and are such a great bright shade of green. Even better news for your crawler? No visible grass stains!

I know my son would approve of the easy pull-over wear and super-comfy cotton of Polarn O. Pyret’s Signature Stripe Polo. It’s also a nice lighter shade of green for those kids who don’t really adore the shamrock shade.

My bigger girls would flip for KEEN’s Coronado Metallic Sneakers with its bit of sparkle but ready-to-climb-anything build. And if they finally learn to tie their shoes on their own? That’s my pot o’gold! Comes in infant sizes too with, thankfully, a velcro closure.

It’s green AND “green”!  Kate Quinn Organics 100% organic woven cotten Printed Keyhole Blouse has a pretty leaf print and contrast border that lends some interest to the cap sleeves and collar. In sizes all the way up to 8 years, grab it a size bigger for a dressy feel this year and to wear as a tunic next. That’s smart recycling.
