Old Navy sundressThis past weekend, I hoofed it to Old Navy to get my girls’ spring/summer wardrobe up to date. While I’m devastated to learn that once you hit size 6, the dresses get a little…racier than I’d like (seriously, a six year-old does not need ruching at the chest to make anything look bigger) I’m happy to see that the little girl collection is still terrific. So we went a little sundress happy.

I thought I’d share the 3 cute dresses we found, all under $17. Whoo!

1. The floral tiered sundress (above) is sweet and just a little swingy in a nice comfy cotton. I like the cross-straps in the back, which keep the straps from slipping off little shoulders.

2. The ruffled print sundress
is not something I would have thought to grab, but my daughter insisted
and I let her try it on. I’m glad she did; the teal fabric adorable and the
ruffles are way more subtle than they look on the website. It’s the
first thing she wanted to wear on Sunday, and I have the Mother’s Day
photos to prove it.

3. My younger daughter scored with a printed jersey dress
in lovely sky blue and white floral print. I only see an orange butterfly print on the
website, but either way, it’s a nice easy a-line tunic cut–the kind of thing that
looks good over leggings or jeans when the kids start to outgrow the
dress. Best of all? This one’s just $9.50.

Happy shopping mamas. Enjoy those cute little girl knees. –Liz
