This is a pretty big corporate statement and we admire the guts. But we really like that 10% of Old Navy sales on the items will go to the It Gets Better Project, a truly amazing effort to encourage the world to speak up against hate and intolerance. To be clear, we’re talking the kind of hate and intolerance that leads to an inexcusable rate of teen suicide in the gay community. If you haven’t clicked over to the site yet to watch the videos, do it. And bring the Kleenex.
If you’re inclined to wear your support on your chest, you can grab one of the four cute Gay Pride t-shirt designs for men, women and babies at Old Navy starting Monday, each for less than $15.

Old navy is currently only offering these shirts in 26 stores around the country. I think it is a great idea in theory, but they need to be made available to everyone, not just cities with larger gay populations.
Yay Old Navy! In response to Jenn, having kids sizes doesn’t exactly further an “agenda.” My son has two moms and this is a great tshirt that we can wear as a family to an alternative family gathering or just on a Saturday. No politics, just our life, our reality and kudos to a major store for creating this line. Let’s not forget that a portion of the proceeds go to a charity. Super cool, kind of hip and cheap to boot.

Thanks so much for sharing! As you’ve noted here, Old Navy isn’t carrying them online. Also, only a handful of stores have them (mostly major cities). Google “old navy pride” if you want to read more about it.
Please, dressing your kids in this is no different than the groups/religions that choose to dress their kids in “modesty dresses” or bathing suits.
It’s not a political agenda, it’s peoples lives, and if you don’t like it you will simply NOT BUY IT.
I think it’s great.
