Stripes End Table by Plywood Office

I often look through the pages of magazines seeking artsy living spaces with pictures of real live human children. Sadly, there is nary a Cheerio in sight. But this piece of furniture I just discovered, I could imagine in my home with my real live human children anyway.

I am in love with the Stripes End Table by Chris Jamison at Plywood Office
for a number of reasons. The rich wood and the stripe combination are
pure beauty. The design is subtle and clever. The rounded edges are
certainly child friendly, as well as the deep pocket to stash remotes or
Goodnight Moon. And the table’s legs are reminiscent of the Eames Lounge Chair. (I love everything about Eames, and this table makes me happy just thinking about it.)

I am an absolute sucker for the DIY movement; there is something so
rich about purchasing directly from the source. I can see the
craftsman’s hands as opposed to the salesman’s bark. I am not just a
consumer, I am investing in a piece that will be with my family for ages
to come. I don’t mean to wax poetic, but it’s the truth.

Plus, it will make me smile. And that, my friends, is priceless. Eva, our newest CMP contributor
