Cool Mom Picks wishes you a Happy Birthday. Yes, you.

Considering my oldest daughter just turned seven (7!) last week, I’ve spent the better half of the last few days singing Happy Birthday. So it seemed only fitting that I’d have barely any voice left when I filmed myself doing the same for you, on behalf of our sponsor The American Cancer Society.

Of course kids don’t really care about how your voice sounds or even if it’s in tune – it’s the celebration of yet another birthday that counts. And that’s exactly what the ACS is celebrating with their new Create More Birthdays Contest.

You certainly don’t need to be a singing superstar to get creative, upload your own video, and be part of the community. Make it silly or make it serious–it’s totally up to you. Or if singing isn’t your thing, you can showcase your own artwork at MoreBirthdays.com too. Click over to get all the details on the contest, then send your friends and family to vote on your entry. The winning music video will end up on the More Birthdays site alongside Justin Beiber. Hello!

We couldn’t be more thrilled to support such a great cause, especially when its as simple as singing one of our favorite songs. Another year, another celebration – here’s to many, many more. -Kristen

To enter the Create More Birthdays Contest, visit MoreBirthdays.com to upload your music video or artwork. Also, check out the videos from fellow bloggers Heather Armstrong and Heather Spohr. What pipes!

Edited: The finalists have been chosen, so head over and vote for your fave. And while they’re all fab, we’re thrilled that Jessi Hardin heard about the contest through Cool Mom Picks. Go Jessi!

That’s very sweet. And you know, kind of funny too because the 11th was my birthday.
