About this time in summer every year, I hit a strange period of handbag ennui. I want something new and fun for summer, even knowing that fall bags are right around the corner. But thanks to Hobo, I might have found a sweet choice that can take me from one season to the next.
The Hobo Sheila bag
has a sturdy leather exterior that I need, coupled with a slightly
slouchy, soft shape and a bit of a distressed look that keeps it from
being all business. The zip top is key essential for us city moms, and
the shoulder straps remove if you’re the rare type who can get away with
carrying very little in your big bag. I imagine I’d be keeping them on. Especially with my laptop in there.
looks like a great size for travel, or even as a diaper bag that
doesn’t look like a diaper bag. And the best part–the stone color
(shown) or caramel brown will be equally great with summer whites or an
earthier fall palate.
If you’re looking for a well-constructed splurgey bag that doesn’t broadcast a designer’s name all over it, Sheila is a nice place to start. –Liz
