Bumbleride Indie Natural Edition – the stroller of our dreams

UPDATE: On 2/3/12 there was a CPSC recall of Bumbleride Indie strollers: model numbers I-107, I-110 and I-205 with a Date of Manufacture from 1/09 through 8/11.The front wheel can crack causing the stroller to tip. There have been no major injuries.

If you own the stroller, stop using it until you’ve received the free front wheel retrofit kit. To do so, or for info, visit support.bumbleride.com or call (800) 530-3930 during business hours.

When I say I have found the stroller of my dreams, you’d better believe it.

Bumbleride Indie Natural Edition is that very thing, and here’s why.

What
are my requirements for the perfect stroller? First, glideability (if that’s a word). I want
wheels that lock when I’m feeling sporty, and unlock when I want to take
it slow. I want my passenger to feel cozy and content, even while
maneuvering the most difficult of city terrain. I want air tires to help ithandle both dirt roads and potholes. And I want the thing to
collapse with ease. Oh, and not weigh a ton.

Too much to ask?

Well Bumbleride delivers.

Every detail has been carefully executed. While the Bumbleride rolls like a
chariot, it weighs in at just about twenty pounds. It is super easy to
fold and unfold (promise, I did it several times). It has great storage
space, and a super huge sun canopy and a sunroof, too. Score! Your wee
one can be completely shaded and still feel the breeze through his
locks. And the adjustable handle height means everyone in the family can take turns pushing the baby around. Mama needs a break too, right?

This is more than a mode of transportation for your
sweet little babe; this is an eye-catching set of wheels. The fabric is an eco-friendly
blend of recycled and bamboo fabric and it feels delicious. The 8 color options
are lush and rich.

I am also delighted to tell you that a car seat adapter is not an extra accessory you need to buy. It comes with a bar that functions as a bumper bar or an infant seat adaptor, for major brands like Graco Snugride. (You do have to pay for a different one if you have a Maxi-Cosi infant seat though.)

The optional accessories are also way cool.
We tried out the Snack Pack and the germophobe in me just loved it. My
biggest pet peeve with snacks left out on a tray at any public place is
all of the eager hands going in for the kill. Sure, it builds the immune
system, but Bumbleride’s Snack Pack is gloriously enclosed. Phew.

Now on the down side, this
stroller is a bit pricey, but I assure you you get your money’s worth. It is an investment that will happily stay strong
no matter how uneven the sidewalk.

That being said, I always think about how mothers survive in NYC. This is not a stroller that you can easily carry down subway stairs and collapse in time to get on said subway. When you are paying so much money for a stroller, it should FLY down those subway stairs and make you a Bloody Mary. Just sayin.

The Sea grass is my favorite. It makes the stroller an accessory! This is a great find, especially now that there is a carrycot. Bumbleride just made my stroller shopping easier. An additional plus- it comes with a cup holder and car seat converter which are additional to purchase for most other strollers.

I just LOVE the Lava Color. Thank you for the opportunity to enter and win one of these. Still need to lose the baby weight, this would be very helpful. This is exactly the stroller my husband and I have been looking at! We want something versatile – that will manage the hills that lie in every direction out our front door, but will also not look ridiculous cruising through the mall. Or farmer’s market. Or wherever. black seems like the best bet so you can accessorize with bright colors (bright blanket, bright clothes on the baby) and it works with both genders!

I think the ocean color is totally classic, and since we don’t plan on finding out if it is a boy or girl before delivery the color is even better because it works for both. Just add a pink or complimentary blue blanket. Gorgeous!

I love the Seagrass. Living in TX, we get a lot of sun and have to stay away from the dark colors. My son loves going for strolls around the neighborhood, but I haven’t been able to take him on hikes due to the lack of good stroller, this sounds like it would fit the bill perfectly!

The movement edition only comes in 2 colors- ocean and walnut and I would chose walnut. Of all the Indie colors (8 like specified) I like the seagrass color best

We have a Bumbleride Flyer, and we absolutely adore it. I hear so many great things about the Indie as well. The Fog color is my fave–love the neutral on the outside with that pop of red inside the canopy.

What a great stroller! I love the Walnut color. My favorite color 🙂 My little guy desperately needs a stroller. We’ve been using a hand me down and could use a more updated stroller. I love how it folds up so small and you can adjust the height of the handle bar. Awesome! Maybe if I had this one, my back wouldn’t hurt from hunching down to push ours! Thanks for the chance!!!!!!

I love all of them (and the stroller itself!) I love the ruby, vita, jet….could be happy with any. Although I think the Ocean would be my #1. I love the Seagrass, but I’m not sure if the Natural comes in that color. In either case, Ocean is also a beautiful color. I’d love to have this stroller for the little one we’re expecting this January!

I am 6 days overdue with the little baby growing inside of me. I would love to take this little one for walks and runs in a new stroller! I am in love with the green (seagrass) color. I don’t know if the baby is a boy or girl, but the blue and green combo makes this stroller perfect for either one. Love it!!

My favorite has to be the Movement Edition in Jet! How sleek! What a great idea to have water resistant fabric for the whole stroller. It’ll be very handy to have here in Seattle.

Wow! I love this stroller! There are so many wonderful color choices. How can I pick just one? I love them all! My three favorites are the Seagrass, Ruby and Ocean. If I had to pick one I guess it would be Ocean. I also love that it is from the Natural Edition. Nothing is better than this!

I love the Walnut (with Fog and Ruby being a close second and third!). They are all very nice strollers. I have been drooling over the indies for a long time and I need an all terrain stroller so I can lose this baby weight! I’m a huge fan of those Bumbleride strollers (and I’d love to be able to show it off to all the mommies around town!)
