One of the most frequent questions I’m asked by pregnant friends is what is the best baby carrier to get. Okay, so not everyone is going to want a hundred million carriers (as I have apparently needed over the years, ahem), but it’s still tricky for me to pick just one.
My favorite answer for mamas looking to carry newborns, though, is a stretchy, comfy wrap that’s easy to use, like the Baby K’Tan carrier. Especially now that they’ve got a great new carrier available.

loops form an ‘x’ on the wearer into which baby can be placed in

We really had a good time using the baby k’tan. It was fantastic and comfortable! It took some practice and I reccommend buying the smallest size you can in order to keep your bug snug. I had ordered an XL and had to exchange for a L. And yes these are worth the money. Also my baby was born in June and as he grew and weather got cooler and more clothes were required when we left home, it became necessary to try a new carrier because of the added bulk. We live in ND. Igive this carrier two thumbs up.
I love this carrier. I tried 2 other types of carriers with my first son, and wasn’t comfortable or confident with them, and ended up not using either of them. When my second son arrived 15 months later, i knew i needed to find a carrier we both liked. The Moby wrap was okay, but i couldn’t put it on or take it off easily. Then i found the Baby K’tan. It was so easy to use – easy on, easy off, and easy to put baby in. My little guy loved being in it, and i never felt like he was going to fall out. It also holds up well to multiple washings. It packs up nicely into it’s own pocket and doesn’t take up very much room in a diaper bag. If you really want to treat yourself, also get some of the K’tan cloths – they are great for drool! To summarize, this is well worth the price.
I love my K’tan carrier! I am always recommending it to other mommies i know as well as referring people on BabyCenter to this brand when asked “What carrier should i get?”
Not only do I love it though, my son falls asleep everytime he is in it.
I am an established babywearer. I added this carrier to my collection after wovens, soft structured, slings, etc (even though most people said it was a waste since my babe was on the bigger end) and I love it! It is simple, easy and comfortable. Not ideal for larger babies 25+ pounds, but you can still use it for short trips. I also love to use this with my doula clients as a great introduction to wearing and for any parents who are practicing kangaroo care with a NICU babe.
