Marni for H&MAt the very top of my bucket list of designers I hope to have hanging in my closet one day is Marni. I’ve always loved the Italian design house’s eclectic mix of prints and modern offbeat silhouettes. Now, thanks to a collaboration with fast fashion chain H&M, I won’t have to wait (or save a zillion dollars) to snag a piece of Marni for my wardrobe.

The collection promises to be a stunner. Expect Marni’s signature
geometric prints and creative mixes of color on everything from formal
suits to loose dresses and summer coats. I have my eye on a beautiful
printed dress with tones of rust, black and taupe (pictured).

Also
in the collection are accessories. And Marni killed it in the jewelry
department for this collaboration. There are necklaces made out of
sequined shirt collars and genius deco-inspired resin bracelets–perfect
for layering up your arm with t-shirts in the summer.

I’m
sure I won’t be the only one setting my alarm clock for the crack of dawn on March 8th, when the
collection hits stores and online–after all, this season’s Marni bags are in the $1600 range with shoes around $700.

Just don’t get your hopes too high; if you’ll recall the
mass hysteria surrounding the Missoni for Target collection, it caused Target’s website to crash, and their customers to complain loudly. While Marni doesn’t quite have the same recognition as Missoni, hopefully H&M took note. –Melissa

The Marni for H&M collection launches March 8th at H&M stores nationwide and on H&M.com. Get there early if you live in an urban area!
