Putting your toddler on the map (er, the map on your toddler)

Maptote Brooklyn map onesieWhen I lived in New York City, pre-kids, I always imagined that I’d someday stroll the streets with my theoretical future babies. We’d meet other mini-Manhattanites in Riverside Park, hit Mister Softee for a cone, head downtown to the South Street Seaport Museum, and life would all be so very grand.

But I ended up moving out of the city–way out of the city–a few years before the kids actually materialized. But you know what? Even though my kids aren’t in New York, that doesn’t mean that New York can’t be on them.

Or Portland or Paris or Miami for that matter.

Maptote baby and kid tees
are what happens when a stylist/photographer marries a cartographer and
start a business. These ridiculously cute onesies and tees feature fun
maps of cool towns: Brooklyn, Manhattan, Paris, Los Angeles, Miami, and even Portland, which made it into our baby shower gift guide this year.

Plus, Maptote tees are environmentally friendly, as they’re made with 100%
organic cotton, and hand silkscreened with water-based ink.

The
kids will love their shirts, too–I felt a surge of pride when my daughter
tapped the map on her belly and said, “This is New York. I’m from
there.”

Now I know, this may not technically be true–but I let it slide. After all, you don’t mess with a New Yorker. -Lexi
