Found It: A Field Guide for Mom EntrepreneursOne of the things that I love best about Cool Mom Picks is its suppport of entrepreneurs, and mom entrepreneurs especially. (Also the fact that they don’t call them “mompreneurs” but that’s subjective.)

So of course I’m excited to introduce you all to Jill Salzman, who is definitely onto something with her website and now, her book just for those of you with creative juices flowing that want to take it to the next level.

In Found It: A Field Guide for Mom Entrepreneurs, Salzman is speaking from a great deal of experience. She’s the brains and energy behind Founding Moms, she’s sold two successful businesses, and her encouragement and advice come together in this  lovely book that reads like a coffee date with a good friend.

This book dishes hard-earned advice in a simple, readable, numbered way. Each morsel of business minded goodness offers something you’ll find helpful, but one of my favorites is number ten, “Get Free Publicity.” I am also particularly partial to number 38, which discusses guilt.

It’s her
honest accounts and perspective–of successes and missteps alike– that really draw you in and make you want to think
outside the box and go for those dreams.
