Happy Birthday LEGO cakeFor all the complaining I do about the tiny bricks scattered all over the living room floor, I adore LEGO bricks for how much they fully engage my kids even more than the latest video game. So we’re delighted to you a very Happy 80th Birthday. Based on how much you are still loved, I suspect you’ll be as relevant in another eighty years as you are today.

    Just got a post from Lego that there is a new You Tube channel for just Lego! http://www.youtube.com/lego If you are like my kids they love the Lego videos.

    I love Lego so much, it was my favorite toy when I was a kid. Now that I have a child of my own, I bought her Lego too. With cartoons and video games easily accessible, it’s nice for her to play with something that will make her imagination work.

    In a recent partnership with Google Chrome, LEGO can now be built online in 3D in the browser itself. The mechanics are super simple so it’s a great tool for kids too: http://www.buildwithchrome.com – enjoy!
