Last year we discovered the super awesome Sock it To Me knee socks, which we even included in our holiday gift guide. (We still think those Derby Girl socks are a pretty darn cool gift.) But while some of the designs were decidedly kid-like, the sizes weren’t. Until now.

Whatever kid says socks as gifts are no fun has not seen the selection from Sock it To Me Socks. They’ve got some of the absolute cutest designs for newborns, kids and teens just in time to add a little affordable personal style to those back-to-school wardrobes.

The little kids and baby designs are cute (you can’t go wrong with robots and sock monkeys) but my vote is with the youth sizes and up; more sock to work with means more fun with the designs. Hello, ninja socks? I hardly need to say more. They’d look amazing with a short skirt and black ankle boots on any funky little girl. And I don’t even think I know a girl who would turn down a pair of bright purple knee-highs dappled with purple unicorns.

The shorter crew socks are also fun, with designs like this pb&j which is my 5 year-old’s favorite. Just know they’ll insist on wearing them in a way “that shows them,” long after the weather insists you cover them up.

We’ve given several pairs a test run for a few months, and they’ve held up really well. They stay put (provided your kids aren’t too small for the sizing) and the color has held nicely through a lot of washes. The prices is very reasonable too. Besides, they don’t show dirt as well as the plain old white socks we tend to use. So if you’re super late doing laundry…no forget it. I’m not going to admit it. –Liz
