I have been a huge UNIQLO fan for ages. I love their chic mix-and-match basics, their long-lasting wear, the great prices, and the social responsibility commitment of this global company.

And now for the first time, US kids can get in on the fabulous, accessible European styling with the brand new UNIQLO Kids and Babies Collection launching tomorrow. (Yay!) So we’re we’re thrilled to be working with them as our latest sponsor, and get the chance to give you a sneak peek of the coolness coming your way.

This one is for every parent out there who’s tired of the same old mall stores but still wants affordable, durable, stylish kids clothes that will last for more than 16 seconds. (Raising hands here – you too?)

UNIQLO KIDS COLLECTION
Tons of plaids in everything from shirts to accessories – great for pairing together for a funkier look; or just pair a single piece with denim or a colorful pant.

UNIQLO KIDS COLLECTION
Layering pieces for girls from leggings to sweats – so glad to see that tighter isn’t trendier this year! Unless you’re talking skinny jeans. All the denim starts under $20.

uniqlo kids - little girlLittle girls clothes like fleece vests ($14.90), basic tees, and jeans with adjustable inner waistbands to grow with your kids–a lifesaver!

uniqlo kids little boy
Baby and little boys and girls clothes built for play, without sacrificing style. The outerwear also has name tags built right in. (We parents thank you.)

UNIQLO KIDS COLLECTION
Classic American basics like sweats and cargo pants, but with European flourishes like surprising inner contrast fabrics, bold colors, and terrific details like longer sleeve cuffs. Also, the much lauded HEATTECH clothing minimizes sweating during playtime, and items starts at just $7.90.

UNIQLO recycling program
Plus I love the the corporate responsibility mission of the company which includes hiring employees with disabilities and implementing the UNIQLO recycle program – donate any outgrown UNIQLO clothes, adult or child, at any store, and it will be donated to people in need through the UN Refugee Agency.

In person, you’ll find them starting September 7 at the two NYC stores including the 89,000 foot (!) Flagship at 5th and 53rd–a seriously amaaaazing store if you haven’t been. Plus the 34th Street store between 5th and 6th if you’re in the Herald Square area and coming later this month, a pop-up store in the Westfield Garden State Plaza in New Jersey.

Pretty good excuse for a little jaunt to Manhattan, if you ask me. –Liz
