Moms of boys, you know it can be a full-on hunt to find cool threads for our little guys. Especially if, like mine, your son happens to love fashion.
I actually squealed with happiness. Aven founders Angie Monson and Mitch Harris have created an all-boys
clothing line that is wonderfully stylish. The line includes blazers, pullovers, chinos and the cutest cropped vest, all with an edgy European flair. This definitely isn’t your average jeans and t-shirt line, though you will find lots of denim (and even a cool hoodie).
Prices aren’t as steep as I was expecting, but the costs of some pieces are more justifiable than others. Case in point: the plaid blazer here is $69, but your little dude can rock a similarly sharp cotton/poly blend striped raglan shirt for $19. The pants seem to be the most pricey at $49, but if you don’t mind paying a little extra for quality and top-notch style, you’ll find the Aven line to be well worth the extra bucks.
Right now, there are about a dozen pieces in the Aven Clothing collection. I can’t wait to see what else is on its way for my favorite sharp-dressed little man. –Kirsten
