Recently, we introduced you to an incredible company making beautiful scarves that help significantly improve the lives of mothers and women in Africa. Along those same lines, we’re so happy to see that babywearing has also gotten more stylish and altruistic, thanks to a new collaboration between Ergo carriers and model-turned-maternal health advocate Christy Turlington Burns.

Want to know how to to be the first to get one?

Christy Turlington Burns founded Every Mother Counts to raise awareness about maternal mortality. Now she’s helped guest-design the Ergobaby baby carriers to support Every Mother Counts, the proceeds of which will help prevent the unnecessary deaths of hundreds of thousands of women worldwide due to pregnancy-related complications.

Soon you’ll be able to buy one of four gorgeous Ergobaby products in the special Umba pattern created by Chantal, a Togo artisan who provides for her children through her unique batik designs. The design is a gender-neutral combo of earthy browns, orange and blue, so you and your husband or partner can take turns.

Besides the two kinds of carriers, you’ll also find it as a diaper tote, and a standard shoulder bag for those of you out of the sippy cup/diaper stage.

The Ergo baby carrier happens to be one of our favorites of all baby carriers. So how perfect that you’re not only doing good, you’re getting a truly dependable, well-made carrier.

Snuggly babies and warm fuzzies for all! Delilah
