Easter always signifies for me the start of the spring season, even when there is still snow on the ground in New England. It’s time to lighten up, and I’ve found some great picks for both boys and girls from some of our favorite online shops that will carry them past the holiday and into spring. You know, the months when the snow really does go away. –Christina

Fore!! Axel and Hudson on Cool Mom Picks

Fore!! Axel and Hudson

Dressy enough for Easter brunch or church, but casual enough for some extreme Easter egg hunting, Fore!! Axel and Hudson’s Rolled Cuff Stripe Shirt (at top) looks so dapper with one of their spring bow ties (the gray linen version shown is on preorder).

Grab one of their snazzy vests for an even dressier look, and top it all off with a cool lid, like this fedora. Hey, Easter hats aren’t just for girls, right?

Tea Collection

Tea Collection Blooming Lilies Dress on Cool Mom Picks

Tea Collection is one of my first stops whenever I need to find an outfit that is dressy but still super comfortable—and not going to break the bank. For my daughters, I love their new bright spring dresses that can pair with a cardigan now but go sleeveless in summer. I particularly like their Blooming Lily Shift Dress which seems aptly named for this holiday of Easter lilies.

Tea Collection Easter for boys on Cool Mom Picks

For my son, I want to snag this entire look: a cool-patterned shirt whose sleeves don’t mind being rolled up, with a casual sweater vest tossed on top. And though he isn’t much of a necktie kid, I do love how the outfit looks with a snazzy bow tie. Since Tea Collection doesn’t carry them, I’d snag one from CMP favorite The Belle and The Beau to complete the look of utter cuteness.

Zara

Zara striped dress on Cool Mom Picks

Another favorite for stylish clothes without the high-style price, Zara has loads of cute Easter dresses for babies and bigger girls too. I love this classic striped dress with bow for toddlers. Would look so cute with white tights and shoes.

If wrangling a tie onto your son is about as likely as catching the Easter Bunny, grab a nice Gingham Checked Shirt which will still look good a bit rumpled after the egg hunt. I like it paired with Zara’s bright green twill trousers, though there are other more muted colors too. And if you’d like to dress this up even more, Zara has loads of snazzy jackets and vests at reasonable costs.

Boden

Boden embroidered dress on Cool Mom Picks

Normally a place I go for beachy-casual kids’ clothes, I was so thrilled to see this Embroidered Dress in Boden’s older-kids’ Johnnie B shop. It’s such a pretty tween dress that my 12 year old would love, but that doesn’t scream “25 year old”. . .she’s growing up fast enough.

Mini Boden boys' sweater vest on Cool Mom Picks

I’d hand over all the jelly beans to any toddler wearing Mini Boden’s Tank Top Sweater Vest over a soft checked shirt. Not nearly as restrictive as a suit coat or as hot as a full sweater, this vest will give your babe a bit of warmth, but still let him go full steam ahead.

Appaman

Appaman Magali Dress on Cool Mom Picks

Such a gorgeous color, Appaman’s Aqua Magali Dress has pretty pleats on the side to add interest to a basic shift dress. With its light fabric on the outer layer and soft lining, it will feel like a special holiday outfit.

Appaman Fine Tailoring on Cool Mom Picks

We’ve long loved Appaman’s Fine Tailoring Collection for their mod suits that are surprisingly versatile. Their Khaki two-piece Mod Suit fits toddlers all the way up to tweens. Love the blue jacket lining and really appreciate the adjustable waistline on the pants since my son will eat his weight in chocolate eggs.
