This week I discovered the very cool Martha Stewart jewelry craft collection while guest pinning for the Martha Stewart Living Pinterest board–which, by the way, has been so much fun. Have you stopped by yet? So I was excited to get a look at what Darcy Miller, the editorial director of Martha Stewart Weddings, has been making with the kits with her own girls for Mother’s Day.

While of course you can grab a kit and make something as simple as a DIY floral resin locket you can also get the “blanks” collection so that you can paint or glaze them, or if you’re super crafty you can go right ahead and enamel it. (And let me know how that goes, ha.)
As you can see from Darcy’s gorgeous designs, you can make whole charm pendants or bracelets, and even lockets by affixing favorite little photos. There are video tutorials on the Michael’s site too, should you need a little help or inspiration.
I know if my girls came to me with one of these I’d be absolutely taken. Just add a nice jewelry box and that’s some awesome gift. So go for it, crafty mamas! There are some cool moms and grandma’s out there ready to use that box of tissues on Sunday. -Liz
