Every time I get to review a product intended for a tiny baby, my heart skips a beat. I love tiny babies. I really do. And though my three are much more than enough for me, I still get wistful when a great baby product comes to my door. Especially when it’s something new by a CMP fave like Ergobaby.
The new Ergobaby Swaddler is a lovely addition to the product line of a company that has been calming babies for years. And just like their celebrated carriers, this swaddler aims to keep babies’ hips and legs in a proper ergonomic position. Think frog legs and you’ll know what I’m talking about.
It’s a rather complicated-looking contraption, but looks can be deceiving. A quick watch of the video (oh man, the adorable baby in it will be my undoing!) or a read of the instructions and it’s really quite easy to use.
I love that baby’s arms can stay wrapped during diaper changes, but I question the use of Velcro to hold things together. Someone really needs to invent a new fastener that won’t wake up a sleeping baby in the middle of the night.
Until they do, though, at least with this lovely swaddler you know they’ll fall back to sleep right away. –Stephanie S.
