Bobbi Brown for Cool Mom Picks

It’s been two weeks since school started and to say that I’ve been leaving the house for drop-off looking halfway decent would be very generous. I haven’t quite figured out the whole three-minute beauty routine, so thankfully I have some tips and great products from Bobbi Brown to help me get it down.

I asked the talented Kim Soane, the director of global artistry at Bobbi Brown, for great beauty tips for women in a hurry. She’s a mom herself so she totally gets it.

If you can only do three things, here are her busy morning pointers for moms looking to leave the house with their best face forward:

1. Clean out your makeup bag. It’s important to keep only the essentials at hand. Stow your fun colors and evening makeup in a separate drawer. The simpler your makeup bag, the easier–and faster–it is to apply your makeup.

2. Eye cream, eye cream, eye cream! Even on days when you are exhausted or just don’t feel like wearing makeup, apply eye cream. It will soothe, calm and depuff.

Bobbi Brown Corrector Concealer | Cool Mom Picks

If you have time for a second product, I’m obsessed with the Bobbi Brown Corrector Concealer for making me look bright eyed and at least three years younger. (Says me.) I like the pink-peachy creamy concealer that neutralizes any of that blue-ish dark circle stuff under my eyes, but there are 16 shades to suit any skin tone. I actually love dabbing it in the corners of my eyes, near my nose.

3. Find your “no mirror” lipstick. Choose a color that is one to two shades brighter than your natural lip color. Choose a creamy, shiny formula that will help hydrate your lips. For added brightness, apply it to the apples of your cheeks.

I also have to put in a shout-out for my own Bobbi Brown must-have, the Bobbi Brown Intensifying Long-Wear Mascara

Bobbi Brown Mascara | Cool Mom Picks

I’ve searched high and low for the perfect mascara, and after many frustrations with clumpy lashes and flaky formulations, this one is a dream come true. The brush is a work of art: its genius bristles magically reach every last lash without leaving yucky clumps behind.

Swipe some on before you run out of the house and watch how fast you can go from frumpy to fabulous. Melissa
