Ergobaby Swaddlers: bringing adorable baby burritos to a bedroom near you

Every time I get to review a product intended for a tiny baby, my heart skips a beat. I love tiny babies. I really do. And though my three are much more than enough for me, I still get wistful when a great baby product comes to my door. Especially when it’s something new by a CMP fave like Ergobaby.   The new Ergobaby Swaddler is a lovely addition to the product line of a company that has been calming babies for years. And just like their celebrated carriers, this swaddler aims to keep babies’ hips and legs in a proper...

Gorgeous baby announcements that don’t require that gorgeous baby photo. Yet.

Egg Press has been a favorite stationery and card shop of ours for a while, and their new baby announcements just keep them on top of the list in our minds.  These scallop-edged baby announcements from Egg Press are just delicious. They’re stunningly designed and hand letterpressed, and that die-cut trim really helps them stand out from the pile of other announcements that may be amassing on mantles and refrigerator doors this time of year. (September is a busy time in the baby announcement biz!) They’re not super cheap at $17/6, but then again, they’re less expensive than custom-printed versions. And...

Rosie Pope offers a kind way to get that belly back in shape after baby

With an ever-expanding belly and a baby coming any day now, I’m already wistfully thinking about those blissful days when we didn’t have to suck in our bellies. (Ha.) I’m hoping to have some semblance of stomach muscles left after the delivery, but if not, I’m relying on this product from soon-to-be mom of four (whoa!) Rosie Pope, to help get that stomach flat–or flat-ish–while helping a great cause.   We’ve ben fans of Belly Bandit for years, and now they’re partnering with baby guru celeb and friend of Cool Mom Picks Rosie Pope to create a new organic, limited-edition version...

Cool school clothes for kids: Back to School Guide 2013

For our 2013 Back to School Guide, we looked at four of the hottest style trends for cool school clothes for kids and (a little painfully) pared them down to some of our very favorite pieces. Remember with back to school shopping, you don’t need to buy “outfits.” Sometimes all you need is one special new piece to pair with existing items, sale clothes or hand-me-downs to make an outfit feel totally fresh and fun.   BLACK AND WHITE Shades of the 80’s, black and white is back and it’s big! From stripes to plaids to houndstooth and everything...

Kinderwagon Hop: At last, a double stroller you can take anywhere

What is it about strollers that makes a big kid want to ride in one as soon as there’s a little kid in there? Nothing like a second baby to help you understand the need for a double stroller, even if you thought you were out of the weeds on that one. Fortunately there’s a fabulous new double stroller perfect for those who don’t want to pay the big bucks for a super fancy one.    We first checked out the Kinderwagon HOP Stroller earlier this year and have been waiting ages for the revamped version to be available. And now...

I can totally justify buying new things to decorate my kids’ rooms if they’re useful. And we’re all huge fans of bins for storage. That’s why I’m completely falling over these adorable Japanese storage solutions from an awesome online shop. I might even clean up while my kids are at school, just for fun.
