One of my favorite things to do each year on Cool Mom Picks is look for the prettiest, sweetest, coolest girls’ Easter dresses in every price. Whether or not you celebrate Easter. To me, spring is just such a long-awaited respite, that getting my daughters one special, lightweight dress that they can wear all spring and summer has become our own annual tradition.

I tend to be less into pounds of crinoline, smocking, humongous floral embellishments or scrunchy taffeta; my style leans more towards simple, elegant shapes and fabrics that are dressy, but not quite cotillion-level. Plus if my girls’ own imaginary play habits are any indication, I imagine your kids will get a whole lot wear out of these Easter dresses for girls, both in and out of the house. Even if they’re accessorizing them with fake flower leis, construction paper tiaras, and oversized cowboy hats and gladiator shields.

Girls Easter Dresses: Floral Dress at Caramel Baby and Child

The lookbook at Caramel Baby + Child is full of stunning ideas, whether they’re in your Euro-range or not (shown above). I happen to love  this girls floral Quail Dress which is so on trend with the cool floral trend this year. ($135.46)

Girls Easter Dresses: Tea Collection Blooming Lily Shift Dress

At Tea Collection, always a great resource for affordable dresses our girls could live in, I stopped immediately at the lovely Lily Floral Shift Dress ($39) which I know my girls would argue over. The machine-washable cotton makes me happy, and the floral detail will make them happy. I also imagine that new Hydrangea Garden Ruffle Dress will make more than a few girls twirl the second they put it on. ($59, at very top)

Easter dresses for girls: Floral dress at Zara

I am so taken with the simplicity of this poly-blend flower print dress for girls at Zara Kids ($29.90) which we first included in our roundup of cool floral clothes for kids.  I can never turn down an easy, swingy trapeze dress which is great on its own, or in a few years, over leggings as a tunic.

Easter Dresses for Girls: Un Deux Trois Ballet Dress

If you’ve got a girl who loves twirling (that may be all of them), this girls’ ballerina dress by Un Deux Trois is amazing in orange ($75 on sale, Saks) and a nice break from pastels. It also comes in black, which while isn’t traditionally very Easter-y, could be striking with a pastel sweater and silver mary janes like the ones we found at Ralph Lauren,

Easter Dresses for Baby Girls at Noko

We’ve been turning to mom-run Noko Baby for stunning, handmade, dressy kids wear since we first discovered their Japanese fabric-meets-western-styling collections.  Check out the Niko Dress ($86, above) which is so cute for babies and girls, and the timeless but modern Yuko Dress ($69) which is now available in a comfy knit.

Easter dresses for girls: Milly Minis embroidered shift Easter dresses for girls don’t have to be twirly; I love the 60’s throwback look of this little girls’ embroidered shift dress by Milly Minis ($146.25, on sale at Saks). The pink daisy-like embroidery over linen makes it funkier than a printed fabric, and the teeny little sparkles give it a little bling without going nuts.

Easter Dresses for Girls: Organdy bow dress at J Crew

For a more traditional option that doesn’t look like a wedding dress, here’s a great option from J Crew Kids: The girls’ organdy bow dress in their Dress-Up Shop. It comes in five colors including some pastels that are perfect for an Easter Dress, but I really like this robin’s egg blue.

Easter Dresses for Girls: Liberty print pink floral dress
If you like the girlishness of petite pink florals, check out the Liberty print floral dress for girls at Jacadi US, now on sale for 30% off. ($89.60) The luxe fabric (ooh, poplin lining) and details like flower-shaped buttons and a grosgrain bow belt makes it dressy enough for a fancy Easter celebration, a graduation ceremony, or even a summer wedding.

Girls' Polka-Dot Shirt dress at Gap

Silver metallic ballet flats for girls at Ralph Lauren

Finally, for older girls who might not be so into all the frill and poof, they might dig this fun girls shirt dress at Gap ($39.95). It’s a lightweight denim, so it’s definitely on the  more casual side, but can be dressed up with cute shoes like silver ballet flats ($65, Ralph Lauren) and will get a lot of use all summer.
