We’ve been looking forward to Easter for a while now, excitedly collecting Easter recipes. Most are decadent sweets—from Easter cakes (lots of cakes) to cake pops—but we’ve thrown in a few healthy Easter snacks, too. Because children can not live on chocolate alone. At least, that’s what we’re told. And then there’s brunch. Ahhhh brunch. Which brings us to this collection of last minute Easter recipes all in one place.
Last year we rounded up six fabulous Easter brunch recipes that you can prep in 30 minutes or less. If you’re in charge of Easter eats this year, make sure to check out the post which includes Hot Cross Pancakes from Joy the Baker (pictured top), a shockingly simple Asparagus Gruyere Tart from Martha Stewart (above), and so much more.
Brunch aside, I’m always focused on Easter sweets. This year, I’ve been particularly smitten with gorgeous Easter cakes found from some of my favorite food bloggers. Check out this post featuring 8 spectacularly gorgeous Easter cakes, all of them simple beauties like this Chocolate Nest Cake from That Winsome Girl that you can easily make at home. For real.
Last year’s cakes were so awesome, that we decided to help you out by tracking down even more cool Easter cakes just last week. Like this Chocolate Easter Bunny Cake from The Cake Blog, this year’s finds are all beautiful and way easier to make than they look. Because when family is over, we’d frankly rather spend more time eating with them than slogging away in the kitchen.
For something a little more bite-sized these remarkable Easter cake pop recipes are what you need. Perfect for a dessert spread or a homemade addition to your kid’s Easter basket, all 6 of these cake pop recipes are as pretty as these Speckled Easter Egg cake pops from Cakeb0t. Plus, they’re fabulous for other spring celebrations from birthdays to Mother’s Day to baby showers.
If you aspire to fill bellies with something more than pancakes, chocolate, and cake on Easter (I’m asking you, parents–not the kids), you have to check out these ideas for healthy Easter treats for kids. These adorable Chicken and Egg Cookie Cutter Sandwiches from the Red Stamp blog alone give me hope for real sustenance in my kids on Easter day. Maybe.
