There is the most beautiful Pink Chicken dress hanging in my girls’ closet that I can’t bear to part with. And maybe I don’t have to. It’s got a beautiful floral pattern, adorably puffy sleeves, the perfect a-line shape, and a comfy cotton fabric that’s so unfussy, it looks great a little smushy right out of the wash, or more nicely pressed for dressier days. It’s gone from a 2-year birthday gift dress for my oldest daughter, to a tunic over jeans or leggings, and now it’s a tunic for her younger sister. I’d say that was $64 well spent by my Aunt.

There’s also a sleeveless Charlotte dress that they propose as a beach cover-up, but it’s so sweet, I’d hate to save it for beach days alone. And the Chloe dress is kind of the best of both worlds–a sleeveless summer dress in that swingy A-line shape that I can’t resist on little girls.
Most are in the $60 range with a few a little less, but as I said: 7 years. And we’re still getting compliments. Little do Kristen’s youngest daughters know that it will be theirs one day. At least when I can finally bear to part with it.
