You may have heard that he Kardashian sisters—yes, as in Kim, Kourtney and Khloé (don’t forget that accent mark)—have jumped into the celebs-designing-baby-clothes world with Kardashian Kids, a collection just baby girls. And you know what? There’s a surprising lack of glitz here and a whole lot of adorable.
We waited to get a look at the line in person and give it a whirl ourselves before we could recommend it, and I must say the quality is quite nice, especially considering everything is under $30. The collection’s color palette is great for spring and even early summer, with plenty of tasteful pastels, neutrals and pops of color. From a sweet sleeveless white butterfly baby one-piece to cute two-piece sets featuring peplum baby shirts, printed leggings and bubble shorts, you’ll find stylish and functional outfits for the 0-24mo set.
Of course, there are a few gold trimmed items in there, and a funky leopard print baby footie and receiving blanket that you might expect from these ladies. Can’t stray too far off brand, right? There’s also one gold mesh tutu skirt in the collection that’s a little over the top for our tastes, especially on a newborn. Scratchy! But overall, it’s a collection that leaves us wanting to see more and that’s a good thing.
As much as I adore my baby boy, the collection’s delicate details like lace, ruffles, chiffon had me longing for a little girl to dress. Luckily, a friend let me borrow her precious year-old baby girl as a model to see how the sleeveless butterfly one-piece fit. Not only was it ridiculously cute on her, the nine-month size fit her well and she’s tall for her age. In other words, don’t order down a size–better to let your kids grow into it.
Kim vouches for the collection herself and you’ll see her own daughter, North West, sporting them alongside the Lanvin, Alexander Wang and Oscar de la Renta. That counts for something, right?
