My husband is an amazing father. He works hard all day long to keep his family housed, clothed, fed and happy. My husband and father to our 3 year old daughter is the most awesome Daddy a girl could have. He has an extremely physically difficult job that he goes to everyday so that he can support us. My husband is a wonderful dad to our 2.5 year old daughter. He is always very involved in what she’s doing. He does her hair regularly and is looking forward to learning how to braid. He cooks breakfast for her every morning and dinner for all of us every night. He’s starting his PhD in mathematics in the fall and he has arranged his schedule so he can do drop off and pickup from daycare so I don’t have to worry about it. He’s not the most physically affectionate person in general, but when she wants a hug, he’s always more than happy to give her one. I love watching them together; they’re so much alike in so many ways and they love each other fiercely. He’s the best dad I know.
My husband became a dad for the third time in his life 13 years after his second born child had come into the world. We were both in our 40s and not anticipating being parents together, but when it happened, I found I was married to one of the best fathers and partners you could ask for. He was there to do the midnight feedings and diaper changes. He does all the laundry in the house, walks the dogs and coaches track. He is most definitely a 50/50 partner with me in this parenting gig. He is also a good person who leads by example. If my son grows up to be half the man his father is, he will be doing a good job.
My guy is an amazing husband and father to our two boys. Not only does he truly coparent, but he does an excellent reading of Mo Willems’ Elephant and Piggie books.
Having recently brought baby #2 into the world and into our family, I can safely say I’d be lost without my husband! With the arrival of both children he’s really stepped up his game – taking time off from work, keeping the house tidy & laundry clean, and making sure we’re all fed and healthy! My dad…where do I begin? Well growing up we never really had a special bond. Which yes is sad but it made me strong in a way. After I had my first daughter that all changed. He started showing his love not only to me but my daughter as well. Oh boy what a joyous feeling that gave me inside. I now have 3 little girls and they are in love with him. There’s never been a time since that he has told me no. Works constantly at work and at home to have nice things and somehow manages to chip in when he can with us. I will never be able to repay him for all that he has done for me and my girls. This contest would be one way to show him my thanks and graditude!
I am the youngest of 4 brothers. All with children and all have been At Home Dads at some point too. I currently am an At Home Dad of the three sweetest kids in Seattle. I would love to share this with my brothers.
My husband is an amazing father. And not just because he changes at least half of the diapers or gives the kids baths (pretty much all of them) or does “baby lifts” making the kids – and eventually him – to go into fits of laughter.
When our daughter was just 7 months old – he went in for a routine medical procedure and 4 hours later he was clinging to life. Doctors told us he had no chance of survival – no one had survived before this. Yet he kept fighting. He had procedures every week for months and every time I’d hold up a photo of our baby girl and tell him what milestone she had met and how her father wants to be around for her next one. When things got very grim – the doctor told my husband to hold on for his daughter. And he did. Now doctors can tell a wife (or husband) who is crying in a waiting room – that the father of her child may make it. There’s hope.
After he was “in the clear” – we expanded our family and had our son. While pregnant with him, our daughter was diagnosed with moderate Autism. My husband never cried. He never got angry. He said – we’re going to take this head on. And we did. My daughter just turned 5 and you would never know she was even on the spectrum. My husband could have spent his days focusing on his illness, but instead he focused on his children. What they needed from him. And we are all so much better for it.
If my husband had given up and died – I don’t know if my daughter would be where she is today. Her and daddy are best friends (and her brother too she’d say – and mommy). He survived and every day is magical. While everything we do can be categorized as “therapeutic” for my daughter – we also make sure it’s also fun. Whether it be learning to play guitar or playing baseball or singing songs. Or super heroes. Or watching movies like Star Wars. I’m so grateful he fought to stick around. He would have missed the most amazing times of our lives.
Father’s Day is a reminder for all of us – how grateful we are that he fought so hard.
My hubby deserves to win the package, because he uses dove and loves it. As being first time parents we both learned together what it takes to handle a little one. This past year I had to go back to work full time, but he still managed to get our daughter to piano class with other little ones and their mommies, sat through dance class practices without me, and that makes him really special in my eyes. My husband is amazing. I travel a LOT for work and he is often left at home with our typical 2 year old. Then, once I am home, I am pregnant right now, and extremely tired, so he has been putting in so much extra work for our family. He deserves so much so this would be amazing.

My boyfriend of over twelve years definitely deserves this award. I sometimes tell him he’s a better “mom” than me. He took as much time off as he could when our son was born 3 years ago because I couldn’t do anything because of my c-section. I didn’t even change a diaper until our son was 3 months old! He helped me every step of the way on my nursing journey. He was the only one that could get our son to latch & because of him I was able to nurse our child until he was 2. So many people discouraged me from it & he would always tell me that if our son still wanted to nurse it was because he still needed it & I shouldn’t let anyone come between that. He takes our son out by himself every chance he gets so that I can sleep in or just have some alone time. He’s an amazing provider & the most perfect dad I have ever seen. Our child absolutely adores his dad & I couldn’t have picked a better person to spend my life with.
My husband loves my kids and we love him. He works really hard and cooks the best. He always has time to pick up and carry long periods of time.
He dances at the credits of every every movie, pretends he’s a knight in shining armor and my 5 year daughter is completely in love with her daddy.

This is a hard contest, isn’t it? With so many great dads around! Anyway, my dad is great, not perfect, has his quirks. Since I moved, it’s been so hard on my folks to be so faraway, every time we visit he insists on picking my family to and from the airport, crossing São Paulo during rush hour or not it is not an easy task! He won’t ever say “I love you”, but that’s my dad showing his love, and I love him. (I would have to split the prize with my husband!)
My fathers son is wonderful. Our son is four months old. We co parent and he works extra hard to be in his life and has proven go be a great dedicated father.

As for my man, in my eyes he is in a league of his own! He came to the US as an immigrant young boy and pushed through life as best as he could. After HS he joined the US Navy and served proudly for many years. Then he used his service to better himself. He became a US citizen and graduated from college with an engineering degree (while holding two jobs). He’s been a man of many many firsts in his family. And although they do not understand the scope of his accomplishments, I do. I will forever be proud of him. Soon after we bought our own home and became parents! Even while being the provider and having a newborn he still managed to take on his next big goal of passing the State’s Professional Engineering exam…which is an amazing feat! He wakes up everyday early enough to spend his mornings with our daughter before work, every night he takes on our bedtime routine, and he is constantly reading up on parenting so he can be the best Father he can be to our Luna. One of the things I love best about my husband is his ability to always be humble. I realize there are so many special entries so if you choose my husband it would be a tremendous blessing! My husband, Derick, lost his dad when he was 8 years old. The loss impacted him in many ways- he searched to fill a void in his life, he suppressed his feelings, he wandered with no make influence in his life.
That changed when he first held our daughter, Conleigh. Being a dad to Conleigh, 4, Gibson, 3, and Acy, 6 months, has been so healing for my husband. He embraces each moment with our children and is so in tune with how precious each moment is. Each day is a gift and while that sounds cheesy, it is so true. After losing his own father and feeling the pain of losing opportunities, he’s been determined from the start to make memories and to make each moment count.
My kids are luckier than they’ll ever know. I’m lucky too because I get to be his partner in this. He loves me well. He loves our children with everything he has.

Before our oldest daughter was born, my husband had never even held a baby, let alone changed a diaper. But from the moment he held her, he has never once shirked a single parenting duty, from diapers to baths to braiding hair. He has never missed a school event or parent meeting. Now, three kids later, he is the most amazing dad I know.

My husband is an amazing partner and father to our three girls. I feel so lucky to share my life with him and our daughters. He does it all from schlepping the girls to all the endless activities, homework and he deals effortlessly with the little dramas that happen in a house with that many females. He is my rock.

My husband is just the best dad I could ever imagine for my kiddos. He works SO hard so that I am able to stay home with our kids but he is also VERY present when he is home. My husband is beyond deserving of all these wonderful gifts. Nearly 2 years ago we went through the most traumatic thing a couple could go through… We lost a child. He stuck by me the whole time. I was in the hospital for 35 days and our twinless twin for 53 days after being born at 28 weeks. It takes a strong man to hold a family together through that kind of devastation. He went to work and still goes to work every day so I can stay at home with our little miracle, to bring him to therapy and give him all the support he needs. My husband Scott is truly the strongest man I know.
Fathers Day is a day we celebrate more than most it’s a day we almost didn’t get to have.
I started a gratitude journal back in March of this year. My husband and father of our 2yr old and 4 yr old has consistently (to his delight) made it into my journal! From engaging our girls, taking them to the park, making delightful squeals of laughter with them, all the way down to getting all of his toes painted a bright sparkly blue. These are just a few of the things that make him dad. And what a wonderful dad he is! So grateful!
I didn’t change a diaper, for the first month, of my first baby’s life… it was a great predictor, of what an amazing father, my husband would become! He deserves the best!

When I met my husband 9 years ago, we were both single parents. We met at our boys football practice. When I say he was a single dad, he literally had custody of both his kids. He took my son in as his own. Since, we have added our little girl to our foursome. Our kids have a father who holds honesty and integrity at the highest. He leads by example with love. I’m not going to list all he does because that would make me look bad 😉 It’s not often one doesn’t have to worry about what their spouse and kids would do without them because the other parent is capable, and has, done it on their own. I am thankful for the man that I was so lucky to fall in love with. I couldn’t ask for a better man and partner in life.
My husband is the best dad and best partner in parenting anyone could ask for. funny, loving and involved with everything to do with our two kids who are 3.5 and almost 6. He sets a strong example, emphasizes creativity and nature and instills a sense of responsibility while being fun and silly.
He was just diagnosed with lymphoma and I know this would be a meaningful gift as he begins treatment in the next few weeks.
Twins. Our lives are consumed by our twins, and my loving and ultra patient husband has been calm as everything else has been chaos. He certainly deserves a day to be celebrated because he spends every other day of the year celebrating the rest of us.
My kids’ dad works really hard for our family. He spends so much time at work to make sure we have what we need but he goes out of his way to make sure he’s home to spend time with the kids every day and he always takes off from work when he needs to be at a kid event or meeting. Plus, he listens to the Writers’ Almanac podcast with our oldest son on the way to school every morning, instilling a love of poetry in the kid and also saving me from the forced-to-listen-to-poetry bullet.
My husband is a fantastic daddy to our 2 daughters. Even when he’s sad or tired, he always makes an effort to bring fun and play to our home. I hope he wins all this swag – he deserves a lucky break.

Hugues, my husband, showed up in my life at an unexpected time over 5 years ago and everything Ive learned about him since has also been unexpected: his life story and how he beat all the odds after 12 years of life in Haiti, moving here, becoming a citizen, completeing school, graduating college and now working in a pharmacy. The way he became a daddy to my oldest without hesitation. The love both my girls have for him and how they wait every day to go running to him when he gets home from work. The way he totally went with my idea for me to be a stay at home with our new baby. There are many more ways he’s been pleasantly unexpected, and that’s just one of the many things I love about him. He would do anything for his family, because that’s who he is. What a lucky lady I am!
Our family (mom,dad,our 9yr old, and 6yr old) recently became a foster family to two siblings ages 23months and 4. My husband is amazing! I work nights and he will often be doing bedtimes for all 4, along with all the rest of the ways he contributes to keeping our now house of 6 up and running. Sports transports, he does all the cooking, and running back and forth endlessly to the store when I’ve forgotten yet another item on the list. He deserves a break and an amazing Father’s Day gift!!
My husband is a great dad. He’s not perfect, but he tries so hard! He is almost done with his culinary degree (he’s worked really hard! 3.7-4.0 GPA every semester.). He also has a job. He hardly has time to sleep, but he always has time for our 4 daughters. I am disabled and our girls range from 18mo to 12yrs. It is SO GREAT when he “takes over” bedtime!! My husband deserves to win because he truly is the father I always wanted for my kids…back when I was just dreaming of having kids instead of fully in the trenches. My husband is a great dad to our four loves because he had a loysy example of family life and has made sure he does not follow their way but has created his own amazing parenting style. He really wants to just be with us for all the little things. Career has taken a back seat he is home on time daily no cell phone or computer time. We feel he is truly in the moment.
Money comes and goes(boy it goes) but we can’t get this back. We were both fatherless pretty young so we appreciate it all the more.

My husband annoys me to no end, never putting away things, leaving laundry on the floor, playing crazy with the kids right before bedtime, letting them wrap him around their little fingers… He is also a wonderful dad who doesn’t always do what I think is right but manages beautifully anyway in raising our twin girls. My husband deserves all this and more. He is the most amazingly selfless and loving husband and father who works extremely hard both at work and home to take care of our family. We had very preemie twins and two years later added another twin set with prematurity issues followed a couple years later by our youngest daughter who has allergies and excema issues. Through all this, he has been my rock and helped every step of the way. My husband comes pretty darn close to splitting everything equally in our household. My husband is amazing! For many years, we struggled with infertility. After three years and a loss, we had our son. My husband is exactly the man my son needs to see to learn how to become strong.

Almost two years ago, we tried two IVF cycles and they failed. We grieved the loss of future children, but I knew my son had the best dad ever.
In March of this year, we found out that my husband gets to be a dad for a second time 🙂 When I asked what gift he wanted for Father’s Day, he pointed to our son and then my stomach and told me, “I already have them.”
My husband, Rich, is such a wonderful husband to me and an incredible father to our daughter. This is his first father’s day, and he will miss it, because he’s going to be working an extra job to provide for our family. He is a military doctor, and is getting ready to do a two-year fellowship, but is picking up an extra weekend shift on-call at another hospital so we can continue to save money to buy a house. While he is providing for our family, he’s also relieving 4 other dads to be with their families and celebrate how special they are. He is always self-less and serving in this manner, which is why I married him in the first place. Anyway I can find to uplift him and show my gratitude for all he does, is the least I can do for all he gives to us.

When I married my husband, he already had two children in their 20’s. He knew how much I wanted a child. We eventually had a daughter who is now 14. He’s been such a loving and supportive dad. I have chronic migraines so he’s had to do a lot. My parents divorced when I was 3. It’s great to see the bond between my daughter and her daddy. She’s a lucky girl and so am I!!!

The special dad in my life is my brother-in-law, Steve. He came into my sister’s life 25 years ago, after she was divorced with two young children. My niece and nephew have a bio dad, but he was an alcoholic and not much around in their lives. Steve married my sister and stepped up to the plate in a big way; really in EVERY way. I know my nephew is a better man and my niece a better person because of Steve and his many influences over the years. Did I mention he is a firefighter? So, he lives his life helping other people, as well. Our entire small family has been very blessed to have him in our lives.

My husband is an enamored first time dad. It’s so worthwhile to see him come home from work with a big smile on his face because he gets to spend time with family, especially his baby son.
Of course my kids Dad works hard! He does that, and volunteers as the assistant scout leader for my boys scout troop. He puts them to bed almost every night. He reads to them, plays with them, listens to them. He tactfully reminds me of the things I’m not doing quite right in terms of parenting and can remind me to stay on track with the parenting plan we have agreed upon. He works a job that he can’t stand so that I can stay home and homeschool our boys. He is patient. He takes care of me and makes sure that I am taken care of so I can be a better Mom. I can’t even state how much he does and how much my kids love him.

My husband has been a stay at home dad for the last three years, first to our daughter and now to our son. He is patient, creative, loving and kind. My husband is such a hard working dad. He rarely wants anything for himself, always wanting to put everything to the kids. He often works past kid bedtime but on the days where he is home in time, he handles bathtime, stories and bed for all three kids so I can catch a break. He adjusts his work schedule so I can make it to school picnics and field trips without worrying about who will watch the younger ones. No matter how exhausted he is, he always makes time to genuinely be there for the kids, wrestling and rough housing with them, chasing them and laughing through the house.

My daddy is awesome!! I am the oldest child by 10 years so we have a special bond. Growing up he was always a hands on dad. Some people thought he was strict but he was just protecting us. After he lost his job after 29 1/2 years he was more concerned about not being able to give my son his weekly allowance than what he would do for money and his bills! I am the only one with kids in our family and it amazes me how my daddy was such an awesome father but has become an even better granddad.

He is a special education teacher and varsity football coach–all while obtaining his educational specialist degree and pursuing an administration degree. While doing this, he still manages to take my oldest (6) camping, swimming, and stressing the importance of reading. Our youngest (6 months) loves her daddy and watching him take her into his arms after 4 years of infertility is priceless. He deserves all the joys that life offers.

I would love for my husband to win this prize because he has sacrificed so much for our family. We had our kids during my training and he elected to stay home to raise them while I was away. For the las 10 years he has cooked, cleaned, shopped for groceries, ironed my clothes, taken kids to school/doctor’s appointments/swimming lessons, and covered my duties during my schooling, training and night shifts. Amazingly he has managed to do all of this and maintain a balance between disciplinarian and fun dad.
For me personally, he has allowed me to be a mother and a professional. I also have type 1 diabetes and had a lot of issues with low blood sugars when we met and in out first years of marriage. He researched what he need to do to help me and saved me on a number of occasions. He supported me and helped me to achieve health so that I could safely carry our boys to term.
He is the most involved and family centered dad I’ve ever met and is truly deserving if being awarded this prize.

Several years ago my husband retired after 26 years in the Army. During his time of service our family moved numerous times across the country and overseas and endured long separations from each other. The boys missed him terribly while he was gone, but he made sure he always stayed involved in their lives, and supported their acivities and endeavors best he could. My husband is an amazing father to our two children. He is an incredibly hard worker and still finds the time to play with and spend time with our kids.
My 74 year old father was always an amazing father and continues to be so by being an incredible papa to his grandkids. He drops everything to be with niece, who has developmental delays and speech apraxia. My dad and niece are the centers of each other’s world. The love has motivated my niece to learn to type messages to him, use maps to find his house and do so much more. And my dad’s devotion to his grandkids has been indispensable to my sister, a single mom. Papa is the best.
My hubby, Martin, is the best dad to our three boys, ages 2, 5 and 7. He manages to take all three of them out for bike rides… oldest rides himself, and daddy tows the other two. When I have to work late, I come home to happy kids who have had frozen yogurt for dinner, no baths, and great quality time with daddy. Martin insists on attending every event for our kids… even though he’s typically the only daddy there amongst a sea of moms. Our boys love their daddy, and would vote for him a million times over if they could!

I could say my husband deserves to win because he’s hardworking, a supportive spouse, and a loving father (he is all of these things), but he deserves to win because he’s absolutely hilarious. My husband Dale has given everything to care for us. He spent three years on the road for months at a time after the economic downturn in 2008. After finally getting off the road, he has spent the last 6 months caring for me after a debilitating injury. He has never complained and simply does what needs to be done for myself and our two children. He coaches our son’s lacrosse team and cares for his entire team as if they were his own.
He is more than I ever hoped and dreamed for when I was younger. He is loving, generous, and kind. We are blessed to have him home again.
Where to start… Well, for starters I lost my father when I was a tender age of 13, and being that it’s Father’s Day I always had a hard time celebrating since I could only remember my father, but now that my we have our 2 year old daughter I have Father’s Day to look forward to again. My husband is a beyond words amazing father. He is a firefighter by day and father by night or vise versa. He never goes a minute without thinking of us weather it be a FaceTime or a text, or call. He lets us know we are thought of, and although duty calls and sometimes life threatening he puts others safety before his own. My husband is a wonderful man besides being a great father. He always worked and never hesitated to help with the housework and child care. The kids always admired him. My son became an engineer just like his father. The boy always bragged about him.
Dad took him to work and my son and he played computer games and ate cookies and hot chocolate. My son thought this was engineering. It was a a bonding of little funny things like this.

Sitting down and trying to even figure out where to begin is probably one of the most challenging parts about this. Where to begin. Today, I turn 34 and this year, Father’s Day seems…..different. You see, eight years ago, my father was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer, which is an incurable form of cancer that is both in the blood and bone marrow. When I was a little girl, my father towered at 6’4″ – a strong and dedicated military man. Now, he is 5’11” because his spinal column is collapsing. Despite the destruction, he is still a strong spirit and a dedicated military man. When you have dedicated 32 years of your life to the armed forces, it always remains a core part of who you are.
When my father was first diagnosed eight years ago, he was told that, without a stem cell transplant, he would likely have 6 months to live. At that time, the doctors did not believe that he would even be eligible for a transplant, but they nevertheless (thankfully) proceeded to check and see whether or not he could be cleared for a transplant. Needless to say, we were very thankful when we found out that he would be able to sustain a transplant. To date, my father has had 2 transplants in order to extend his life, but a 3rd cannot be done because the body cannot sustain a 3rd hit, so the time we have is the time that we have and we are blessed by every day.
I am my father’s daughter. I look in the mirror and I see the strength and determination that he has instilled in me. I feel the follow-through and dedication and morals coursing through my veins. As my father fades, I find that he has built within me the ability to step into the shoes of leading my family because it takes a strong person to be able to hold it together.
My dad is a 65 year old young man 🙂 He is a man who has loved his family so much. His grandchildren adore him. For them (and many outside of our family), he “walks on water.” As I alluded to earlier, my father had a wonderful, long, and joyful career in the military. During that time, he also worked at Safeway. He sustained both jobs until he could no longer do it with the cancer. Outside of his careers, the man that I look up to so much also was in a quartet that toured the country, performing in churches when he wasn’t away on duty or pulling the night shift at Safeway. He bakes like it is nobody business – In fact, we’ve had people at our church bid $50+ just for one of his cheesecakes! My grandmother taught him how to make her jam and he in turn taught me! Jam – that’s what people ask for at Christmas because they just can’t get enough of it.
On a musical level, I am furthermore my father’s daughter. Like my father, I tour churches and other venues….one thing about being a singer though is that presentation is key. My one problem with this is that I don’t like to shop, so I’m thankful that my father likes to shop, (thank you QVC and HSN…lol), has a good eye for it, and designs jewelry. I just don’t know what I’m going to do without him. Outside of my significant other, my father is indeed my best friend – even though it was certainly not like that when I was a teenager!
We, as a family, have all come to the understanding that we are closing in on the final portions of this part of his journey with us, so this Father’s Day just feels different. It’s more bittersweet than it has even been and I certainly feel so much more contemplative about what precisely I want him to have from me this year. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve always tried to be very thoughtful in my gifts to my parents, but again, this year, it’s different. My father is our family’s hero, our rock, and a pillar of our strength. Having moved back home to be his caregiver has been such a gift for both he and I, and, as his daughter, this is my right. This is my joy. This is my honor.
Happy Father’s Day to all of the fathers! What you give to us is immeasurable! What you teach us in your walk goes far beyond anything that words could ever express! well my dad dont deserve to win or have anything.he has been crap to us every since my parents divorced..BUT i have the most amazing step dad anyone could ever ask for..he treats us just like he does his kids,he dont make no difference in us at all.he is always there and helps us in any way he can.if it is a talk.help with doing something or anthing..he is a great guy!
MY FATHER WHO IS NOW 73 IS THE BEST DAD AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN A WONDERFUL FATHER TO ALL 6 OF US. HE IS CARING, UNSELFISH, LOVING, AND HARDWORKING. HE ALWAYS PUTS US FIRST ABOUT HIMSELF AND HE ALWAYS TREATED US WITH LOVE AND KINDNESS. RAISING CHILDREN MUCH LESS 6 IS A VERY HARD JOB AND HE DID IT WITHOUT COMPLAINT BECAUSE HE PUT US IN GODS HANDS TO TAKE CARE OF US. HE IS A MAN OF FAITH AND STILL WORKS FULL TIME TO THIS DAY. HE WOULD BE SO HAPPY TO WIN THIS AND I THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING 🙂
