Every so often we come across a small company that takes a classic product and bring it up to date in an irresistible way, and the adaptation of traditional Swedish slipper socks by London company Ace&Me nails it. My kids have lived in slippers like these since they were little, and the fabrics tend to come in more traditional stripes, solids….you know the drill. But here, Swedish cousins Pia Tamm Hagno and Anna Eberstein brought Swedish slipper socks up to date with some wonderfully modern patterns and styles, all of them handmade.

I love the edgy leopard (and my daughters do too), the classic argyle print, and the argyle that, on closer inspection, reveals a pattern of alternating skulls and hearts. Also ridiculously adorable–especially for the littlest girls–are the sweet pink ballerina slippers that look like toe shoes, complete with a real satin bow on the back of each.
As for the quality – just wow. The hand-knit sock is soft, stretchy and super comfy, while the eco-friendly micro fibre sole grips our wooden floors as well as leather from what I can tell. I also love the whole eco-friendly vibe of the company right down to their packing materials. And thank you, oh thank you, for making them machine washable. Because I know my kids will wear them every night until the bathing suits come out again.
I only wish the slippers came in larger sizes. They start at 0-6mo sizes and run up to a 26-27 European, which is pretty much a US 10. That said, they run fairly large from what I can tell on my own girls; that 26-27 is definitely roomy on my seven-year-old who wears a 10 sneaker, though still wearable. She’ll definitely get a couple years out of them at least.
And yes, my daughter has teeny feet. The silver lining being she gets to wear a pair of cool Ace&Me slippers that she probably should have outgrown a few years ago.

Love the ballerina one! Especially great for my little girl who loves to wear her ballet slippers everywhere. Machine washable is a big plus too.
My 1year old wears his grey leo slipper socks almost everyday. After x rounds in the washing machine, they still look great. The quality is outstanding.
They are all lovely but for boys my favourite is the grey scull. My four year old son also loves them. He refuses to take them off and even sleeps in them.
