We love Small Business Saturday, which gives a much-needed boost to our favorite moms and pops around the US, from restaurants to shops to services. (Hey, need some dry cleaning done? Today’s the day!)
Here are three ways you can shop small today and save, too.
American Express Statement Credits
If you didn’t realize, there’s actually some more incentive for you to shop small, besides putting your hard-earned money back into your community; you can actually get up to $30 in immediate statement credits from American Express. To do that, just enroll your American Express Card (it’s easy) then check out shopsmall.com where you’ll find all the eligible businesses near you, by zip code. Spend $10 or more at them, and you get $10 back.
$10 worth of minifigs at my local toy store for some stocking stuffers? $10 back. Pancakes and coffee at our local diner? $10 back. Take-out sushi? $10 back. It’s money we’d be spending anyway, so…sweet.
