Every year, we are so indebted to the amazing graphic designers and bloggers who give us the gift of free printable holiday gift tags and wrapping paper. It’s like they keep getting better every year. While you can always return to our archives, that feature so many fantastic holiday printables of all kinds, we love searching for new ones too.
So stock up on your printer ink and some nice quality paper or printable labels, and you’ll have all the gift tags you could possibly need this Christmas and Hanukkah.

Caravan Shoppe is one of my favorite resources for great printables, but many of their downloads will cost a small fee for the privilege. Totally worth it, I think, but still, that’s why this printable Merry Christmas wrapping paper is such a treat–it’s free!
These simple free blue and white printable watercolored gift tags by Sanae Ishida will dress up your Hanukkah gifts so elegantly. Or your New Year’s hostess gifts or your Mother’s Day gifts, for that matter. I think the water color designs are pretty enough to frame.
Sometimes I feel that the rustic chalkboard trend has run its course, but then I see something like these free printable chalkboard gift tags from Lia Griffiths and I change my mind. My grandmother used to write (spoiler alert) “From: Santa” on our gifts but how cool would it be for a kid to get a gift with an S. Claus & Co. logo on the tag? This collection of free printable holiday gift tags by Catherine Davis at Design Editor are stylish enough to use for a co-worker but playful enough to go on my kid’s special gift. I love the simplicity and black accents–instead of green–really makes them sophisticated.
These charming free printable Spanish-language gift tags by Haciendo el Indio remind me of some of my favorite children’s book illustrations. I love the non-traditional color scheme too. And how cute is that Santa!

There’s a snowy, ethereal indie illustration feel to the free printable woodland holiday gift tags by Kelli Murray. I adore for them for bringing to mind wintry Christmases, even if you’re in the deep south like me. Just looking at them makes me want a mug of hot spiced tea.

While I think all of the 12 Days of Christmas calligraphied gift tags by Lindsey Bee are pretty amazing, I have to say have a special place in my heart for Buddy the Elf’s “Cotton Headed Ninny Muggins” quote. But check out the whole page–the humor in some of the movie quotes balanced with the fancy calligraphy makes them so fun. (PS, love the transit map as gift wrap!)
If your kid is into arctic wildlife like ours are, Lia Griffith’s free printable polar Christmas gift tags are convenient for those of us using computers to make our gift-wrapping easier. You can edit the PDF file and type in givers’ and recipients’ names before you print. Or hey, just go the old-fashioned way and use your handwriting.
If you’re willing to get crafty and do a little more work than just printing, these hinged reindeer printable gift tags at Eat Drink Chic have a vintage vibe I really like. Print out the components and get your kids to help you assemble the deer. Maybe while you watch a Christmas movie together.
One more idea: I may even crop some of these images and print them on tattoo paper to make fun stocking stuffers for my kids. If only I could download tape from the Internet too, I’d be all set.
