Search this site for kids’ sunglasses, and you will find several posts about Babiators cool-looking, high-protection sunglasses for babies and toddlers. With good reason: Cute styles and comfy frames coupled with 100% UVA and UVB protection, and an incredibly forgiving one-year replacement guarantee, make for a great way to keep little eyes from squinting their way through the sunnier months.

So we’re thrilled to learn about Aces sunglasses for bigger kids ages 7-14, now featuring bigger-kid frames but with the same same qualities we’ve love about this brand. Including shatterproof lenses and durable rubber frames, because kids never seem to grow out of needing those at any age.

I will note that whether or not Aces will actually fit your own 14-year-old depends on his size. My 14 year old daughter is definitely more “adult sized” than kid sized, seeing eye-to-eye with me at 5’9″, so she found Aces to be too small for her face. But she has plenty of friends who would look just right wearing them.

However the glasses look cool and feel great, say my ten and twelve-year-old product testers. I’m not sure if it’s the mirrored lenses or the colorful frames they like best. As for me, it might be the Babiators’ one-year guarantee against breakage or loss. Even the cutest glasses do no good for anyone when they’re in pieces on the ground.
