I’ve been admiring the stylish oxfords, loafers, and sandals for kids from Zuzii shoes ever since I saw them on Joy Cho‘s Instagram feed, which is one of my favorites. Joy’s style is so bright and cheerful, and these shoes fit that vibe perfectly. So of course I couldn’t help but click over to take a closer look, and wow.

Zuzii shoes are beautifully handmade to order by a mother-daughter team in LA, and they work really well for an easy but still stylish summer look. That is, for those fashion-conscious toddlers of the world. You’ll find oxfords, loafers, sandals, even those perforated shoes that we adore in all sizes.

But it turns out that Zuzii makes shoes for women too, should you want them all for yourself. Plus it’s a little easier to justify the higher handmade price when you’re not going to outgrow them in six months Or, you can get one for you, one for your daughter, should you want a matchy look for a mom and kid (aunt and kid, grandmother and kid) that manages to look kind of cool, and not at all twee.

As always, we love to support small businesses making great products. In fact, the only thing that’s holding me back from ordering a few pairs myself is the price tag — oof. I may wait until my daughter is a little older and won’t grow out of them so soon, or maybe until I can borrow them from her. Or hey, maybe I’ll just add them to our Christmas wish list for Grandma. Er, Santa.
