I heard rumors about the CoverGirl Star Wars MakeUp line a couple of months ago, and now, it’s a reality. Yep, coming this Fall, you’ll be able to snatch up the CoverGirl Star Wars: The Force Awakens inspired line at your local drugstore. Sweet!

I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect in terms of the color palettes. R2D2 gold? Darth Vader black? Padmé Amidala red that you only wear on half your lips?  But I have to say they look pretty fun, including lipsticks, nail polish, and mascara with very clever packaging. In fact, I might just have to snatch up one of these just for that alone.

Of course we’re waiting to see how this somehow inspires rage among some of the more ardent Star Wars fan base, who think they know just what should be licensed — finger puppets, bathrobes, LEGO sets, popsicle molds and garden gnome jawa figurines, that it shouldn’t exist. (Shaking our fists at you, cosmetics!)

The whole line will be limited edition, so you’ll want to be sure to grab them while you can. If anything, it’s extremely smart marketing and a welcome acknowledgement that we ladies dig Star Wars as much as the guys. Perhaps even more.

You’ll be able to purchase the new CoverGirl Star Wars MakeUp collection online in early September and in stores mid-September. And if you love Star Wars as much as we do, make sure you’re following our Star Wars Pinterest Board!
