If you want to get your hands–and ears–on the two new albums from CMP favorites The Pop Ups and 90’s pop icon Lisa Loeb, there’s only one place you’ll find them: Amazon. That’s right, Amazon is showing its support for kids’ music by exclusively debuting albums by these two GRAMMY-nominated artists, and all of you lucky Amazon Prime members in the US and UK can stream them absolutely free.

About a year ago, I shared this cool perk of being an Amazon Prime member: Free kids songs to stream as a way to “try before you buy” additional music to share as a family. But this new twist–that gives you access to entire albums of music–is a really wonderful way to hear more of an artist’s music before you purchase or download it to add to your collection.

Amazon’s first exclusively released album is The Pop Ups’ Great Pretenders Club, the fourth album by duo Jason Rabinowitz and Jacob Stein.  Another electronic-pop gem, Great Pretenders Club mixes creative lyrics with original musical arrangements that sound unlike anything else in the genre.

You can even get a sense of their wonderful live, puppet-filled shows by watching the new music video for Bird and Rhino, an action-packed song with a very fun dynamic duo.

And songs like We Live in an Orchestra are so richly layered, alternating from get-off-your-feet energetic to smooth and dreamy, it’s clear how much time and effort this pair pours into their music. Make sure you play straight through to the title song at the end–it’s lovely.

Then later this month, Amazon will exclusively launch Lisa Loeb’s latest children’s music album, Nursery Rhyme Parade! As the name suggests, this 37-song album runs through loads of classic nursery rhyme tunes that you probably grew up singing at home and school.

Lisa’s pretty voice covers everything from Skip to My Lou, London Bridge, and Ring Around the Rosie in these simple compositions that make it easy to hear and sing along to the lyrics. It’s a great way to introduce our youngest kids to these classic songs of childhood.

You’ll find The Pop Ups’ Great Pretenders Club and Lisa Loeb’s Nursery Rhyme Parade! exclusively available at Amazon. Prime members can stream the albums for free.
