As busy parent with Christmas right around the corner (ten days as of today, to be exact), I am thankful for places that make it easy to get all the last-minute stuff that I forgot to get but really, really need, in one handy place, like our sponsor CVS. Who you may know we’re kind of obsessed with around here.

(Those ExtraCare Rewards receipts cannot be long enough for us.)

Last month I shared my list of last-minute Thanksgiving essentials and now that I’ve blinked, and it’s time to get ready for Christmas, wow, they’ve got the place stocked with lots of stuff you need — and hey, all that stuff you never know you need until you see it right in front of you. From big brand stuff, to smaller brands we love, to the CVS Gold Emblem and CVS brands which help parents save money…yep. We like CVS.

So, I made a stop at my local CVS — also known among my children as “that place where you always buy those *butt gummies, mom!”* — with all four of my kids to grab some items I know I’ll need in these crazy busy days leading up to Christmas. Hope they inspire some helpful ideas for you, too.

*Butt gummies = Fiber chewables. Yay, aging!

Last-minute Christmas essentials at CVS: You can never have too many boxes of tissues

1. Tissues. ‘Tis the cold and flu season too, so we always stock up on lots at once. This is where the great prices of Total Home products can really help save money especially at the holidays when I’m budgeting more..

2. A bright red lipstick. It’s festive! And distracts from the bags under my eyes. Did I mention four kids?

3. Baby wipes. For when your kids get into that red lipstick.

Last-minute Christmas essentials at CVS: Gift wrap, gift bags, and more

4. Gift wrap, bags, boxes and bows. Because with my luck, I always seem to run out when I only have two gifts left to go. Or, you know, maybe just buy it so that sisters can torture their brothers.

5. Tape. See #4. Also, rolls of tape make a fantastic, affordable stocking stuffer for kids. Seriously, mine love it.

6. Batteries.  Stock up with as many packs as you think you’ll need — and then double that number. This is another time when the CVS Brand comes in handy.

Last-minute Christmas essentials at CVS: Acid reducer

7. Acid reducer. So many Christmas cookies. So so so many. Help me, Obi Ranitidine. You’re my only hope.

8. Coloring books and crayons. Perfect for long car rides to visit the relatives, or they make fantastic last-minute gifts when you’re heading to a party where you’re not sure if there will be two kids or twelve.

9. Motion sickness bands. For the kids who like coloring books on long car rides. These things work wonders.

Last-minute Christmas essentials at CVS: Silly Christmas hats for photo opps

10. Silly Christmas hats. Perfect for all holiday photo opps, and to use in holiday party photo booths. Yeah, they’re  silly. But they’ll lead to lots of smiles and laughs when you look back at the photos in future years.

Thanks to our sponsor CVS for making it so easy to get everything we need (and then some) for the holidays. Check out their Gold Emblem, Gold Emblem abound, and Total Home product lines at your local store, along with their CVS/pharmacy Brand line, which comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, with a 30-day money back guarantee. Not that we’ve ever actually returned anything we bought there. Yes, we really do love CVS.
