As a first-time pregnant lady, I’ve been dreaming up color schemes for a nursery for oh, the past 5 months or so. And with my recent gender reveal party (it’s a boy!), I’m now even closer to honing in on colors, patterns, and styles for my baby’s room.

And one thing I’m really on the lookout for is a bright, fun, friendly mobile. Which is why I was so excited to find these really cool DIY mobile kits on Etsy that let you create the perfect mobile for your baby’s nursery. None of these seem to require too much skill, and they all look amazing. I’m guessing you’ll find something you love here too.

Make a never-ending happy parade with this DIY Bird Parade Baby Mobile Kit. | Gifts Define

This DIY Bird Parade Baby mobile kit, available from Gifts Define, makes crafting a little easier with its pre-cut felt bird shapes, and of course, the smiling cloud. You’ll need to be sure you have some basic sewing skills and staples (like needles, threads, and stuffing) since those are not included. If you love these little birdies as much as I do, you have to check out their baby’s first Christmas personalized Santa Bird keepsake — so adorable.

Choose your colors and get to stringing with this fun DIY Felt Ball Mobile Kit. | Petit Eloise
I’m loving the simple, earthy feel of this DIY Felt Ball mobile kit at Petit Eloise on Etsy, made from ethically sourced aspens and felted wool. I think this is the perfect gift for the eco-conscious mom. Plus, with six different color options, there’s surely a color combination that suits any nursery.

Love the colors on this Hot Air Balloon Mobile DIY Kit at Felt on the Fly. So sweet!

This Hot Air Ballon mobile DIY kit at Felt on the Fly requires a little more sewing than the rest of the kits shown here but all these little passengers are just so cute it makes the extra effort worth it. All templates and felt are included, plus a helpful blog post from Lia Griffith, so I think even the most novice crafters are likely to find this project within reach. If this doesn’t sound like you, though, consider it as a baby shower or holiday gift for your most crafty new mom friend.
