Next up in our series of products in social media ads that we see, purchase, and review is the Thrive Causemetics Infinity Waterproof Eyebrow Liner. (Not to be confused with their popular Inifnity Waterproof Eyeliner.)

At Thrive Causementics, they claim it “holds like a wax, blends like a powder and intuitively adjusts to match your brows,” so how could I not try it? Especially considering I’ve been obsessed with my big fat Greek eyebrows since I was a child idolizing Brooke Shields, and I love the look of a fuller, well-groomed brow now.

The Infinity Waterproof Eyebrow Liner: Putting it to the test

You choose from five “universal” eyebrow liner shades (with cute names too!), ranging from light blonde to black, each promising to blend with your natural eyebrow shade perfectly. After reading the reviews, I decided to go with the middle shade called Audrey for dark blonde to medium brunette, despite the fact that my hair is a pretty dark brown.

The pros will tell you to stay within a shade or two of your hair color; but I’ve found that with very dark hair, unless you are going for a super dramatic look, you should choose a brow color a bit lighter than your natural color.

Luckily, I was right. The Audrey color was perfect for me.

What’s different about the Infinity Waterproof Liner compared with a typical brow pencil that you would traditionally sharpen, is that it has a very fine retractable tip. On the plus side: no pencil sharpener needed! On the downside: it won’t last as long as a traditional pencil, which seemingly never need to be replaced.

So first, I used the spoolie brush on the other end of the pencil o groom my brows before filling them in. Then…liner time.

Surprise! It works as promised!

Turns out the retractable pencil is so wonderfully thin, it’s really easy to fill in and shape your brows neatly and naturally; the result is more like the thinner hairs of your brow rather than a flat line of color.

And true to the very convincing sales pitch — as in, the one that made me finally buy the thing after seeing it a zillion times in my social media ads — the Infinity Waterproof Eyebrow Liner is indeed waxy enough to hold hairs in place, thanks to shea butter, but not so much that your brows look stiff and unnatural.

The Infinity Waterproof Eyebrow Liner: Bottom Line

If you prefer an eyebrow pencil over powders, the Thrive Causemetics Infinity Waterproof Eyebrow Liner is one of the best I’ve ever tried. And I’ve tried dozens.

(Told you I was brow obsessed!)

The look is fantastic and natural, even staying in place for the duration of the day. I’d normally need to apply a clear brow gel over top, but unless your brows are really bushy and unruly, this liner eliminates that step. And because it’s waterproof, there was no smudging at all in my experience.

When the day is over, the liner comes off easily using my regular face wash — no special remover needed.

On top of all that, the liner is vegan and cruelty-free, with no paragons or latex. The ingredients include she butter, hyaluronic acid and ceramides, so if you prefer more natural products with hard-working ingredients, that’s an added bonus.

As for the price, at $23, it’s on the higher end for eyebrow pencils — comparable to the $25 for Anastasia Brow Wiz at Sephora, but double a $10 NYX brow liner that you can find on Amazon. However Thrive donates a percentage of funds or one product for each item purchased to someone doing their best to thrive through cancer or domestic abuse, homelessness, and other excellent causes.

I’d say that feeling good is beautiful.
