The paper crown princess

If I had a dollar for every princess themed birthday party I’ve been to, including my daughter’s birthday party…well, I’d be able to pay for our next goodie bags. If you get suckered into hosting one with the ever-so-popular theme, I love these paper crowns which are so charming and special. They help me envision a new take on the princess party with a more classic than Disney vibe. The paper crowns (update: now available at Present and Correct) actually happen to be cards that fold up nicely and come with a matching envelope, all with a cool retro style. With the...

Who’s holding your diapers?

I am addicted to cool organizing products. That’s not to say that I’m the most organized person out there–that would be my sister-in-law and she is a goddess. (But not the Charlie Sheen kind. Ew.) I just like fun boxes and containers which really do help wrangle the piles of stuff that accumulate around here. So I kind of flipped when I saw this fabulous new diaper caddy from one of CMP’s favorite little brands. The new 3 Sprouts diaper caddy is quirky and fun, featuring their signature felt animals on canvas. The caddies are shaped perfectly to keep...

Free calories from Starbucks! We’ll take it.

There’s a lot of talk about Starbuck’s new logo launch this week, and frankly, whatever. What I like is that it gave them an excuse to offer customers their new treats to sample, totally free. Starbucks has just introduced Starbucks Petites, desserts that are the perfect size for me or my kids. These treats aren’t exactly low-fat, but a mini peanut butter and chocolate cupcake has to be better than one four times the size. Thanks to what Starbucks calls their “Tribute Days,” if you’re buying a drink between 2 and 5PM today through Saturday,  you can try a...

Monogrammed rain boots keep you singin’ (and stylin’) in the rain

This week we had a taste of spring – not the sunny, warm spring, but the rainy, cold spring that you know is right around the corner. And nothing cheers us up around here on a rainy day like a fun new pair of rain boots ready for puddle jumping. Ever since I got my first monogrammed LL Bean bag, I’ve had a soft spot for monogrammed items. Rain boots by Zou Baby are the first monogrammed rain boots I’ve seen and I love the classic design. Available in adult and youth sizes, both you and your child can...

The stackable storage shelves of your super-organized dreams

Stuffed animals, princesses, puzzle pieces, barrettes, stickers, play food, books…Walking into my daughter’s room makes me to want to scream in a fit of frustration and horror. With all the options for toy storage out there (and we’ve covered quite a few), there is one that I find I keep going back to. Q Collection Junior’s Stella Stackable Storage looks so fabulous, I would want it even if we weren’t in dire need. But, I do need it. Bad. Stella Stackables, what don’t I love about you? This modern marvel of toy storage is available with or without doors,...

Paper Lovely’s new calling cards are calling my name

I love the idea of carrying a calling card that really speaks to me. It would give my work-at-home career some validation. And who knows… just carrying that card could open up some doors. [don’t miss a nice offer after the jump!] With the new collection of calling cards by Paper Lovely, designed by Kim Burks, there are seven designs to choose from and each one is elegant, unique and inspiring. Kleynimals solve the great baby-car key dilemma

The beloved car keys–Babies just can’t get enough of them. And no matter how realistic those toy keys look, babies know the difference. And even though desperate times can call for desperate measures, it’s certainly not ideal. That’s why Kleynimals are so brilliant. Inspired by the same dilemma, a smart mom invented the very smart Kleynimals: toy car keys that look like cute little animals, but made from non-toxic, food grade stainless steel. Kleynimals sound like keys when you shake them and they probably taste like keys, you know, minus all the grime, sharp edges, and possible lead. Because...

Modern art for the road

Now that my nineteen month old has officially reached the dreaded “dropsy stage,” I try to attach everything I can to her stroller and high chair, from her sippy cup to her toys. So, when I found the MoMA Shapes and Colors Stroller Cards, I was intrigued. Five cards, each in a different shape, feature bold, contemporary photos one one side and an interesting texture on the other. Think: a photo of a heart-shaped cookie backed by a sticky heart on the other side. I love that they’re not only educational, but very well designed. Not that I would...

One Year to an Organized Life with Baby

Even if I had known about One Year to an Organized Life with Baby when I was first pregnant, I probably would have been too disorganized to read it. We had recently moved to a new house and to say we were unprepared is an understatement. We were fools. No, we were crazy fools. This book would have rocked my world. One Year to an Organized Life with Baby, by best-selling author Regina Leeds with Meagan Francis (one our favorite bloggers) is a week-to-week guide that helps parents prioritize what they need to know and what they can do...

Give me some robot love!

As a mom of two girls, I haven’t had the pleasure of exploring any of the typical themes for boys’ bedrooms, like cars, boats, fish and monsters and I’m fine with that. However, robots, at least in my mind, are cool for anyone. I am all over these Robot Pillows by Little Korboose. These quirky dudes are drawn with a big smile and a big heart. Literally. I love the playful, imperfect lines and bright colors. Made from lightweight cotton and linen canvas, they’re sturdy enough for all your rambunctious kid’s crazy antics. Buy a robot family and display...
